This made a HUGE difference. I was almost in tears at the difference. The goal is to use it till he learns not to lunge, and then to retire the collar. Sooo I never thought I'd use a prong collar (I'm a complete softie.) But my 65lb bully mix is waaaaay stronger than he looks, and he loves to chase motorcycles, bikes, even wheelchairs (anything on wheels, really.) One time he pivoted and bolted so hard that I spun around and fell into a cactus...lots of bruises and needles. I decided this is a matter of safety. I would never be able to forgive myself if my dog got hurt or someone on a motorcycle got into a wreck because my dog lunged at their bike. And it's completely unacceptable for him to freak out on people in wheelchairs. He's not actually aggressive, but he comes off as such, and I just cannot allow him to behave that way. I was at the end of my rope, and I actually have cried on many a walk with him. I didn't want to try a gentle leader, because I've heard they can cause neck injuries, and I'm almost certain this would be the case with my dog. I have tried a no pull harness with front and back leash connections, and while it gave me more control when he would lunge, it did not stop the behavior at all, so while I felt better about him not choking himself out, it did nothing to deter him from doing it. I considered sending him to a dog school (but my neighbor told me that he didn't get the results he thought he would, even after sending his puppy to school for weeks.) First I wanted to see if this last ditch effort would work before I spent thousands of dollars. It has, from what I can tell. The first night, within about 5 minutes, THREE motorcycles drove past us. The first time he did what he always does and lunged so hard that he was on his hind legs and barking, but he stopped pretty quickly. The second time he lunged, but with way less effort. The third time he had a reaction, but didn't really lunge at all, just pulled a tiny bit. I was in shock, I couldn't believe it. So I took him out again tonight, and he still pulled a little, but then would stop quickly, so he's still learning how to behave on the prong collar. Now (it seems) I don't have to worry about him lunging at bikes, other dogs, or other people; I feel like a weight has been lifted. Now obviously it will take a little time for all this to become a pattern that will lead to him not needing the collar anymore, but it's really the lesser of two evils in this case. It takes a little work to get the collar in the right spot (snuggly below his ears and higher up on the neck, but not tight, so we're working on that.) The collar seems to be high quality and comes with extra rubber prong covers. Sorry for the novel, but I feel like this collar might help some dog owners. I'd say it's like gastric bypass surgery: it's a TOOL you use to achieve desired results. You don't have to use this thing forever. Just make sure you use this collar CORRECTLY. I even did what many others do and tried it on myself. It doesn't feel good, but it's not excruciating, only uncomfortable when you tug on it. Fingers crossed I can retire this collar soon, but I am so happy to have it for the time being. Game changer.

Very good quality. Worked wonders on our insane Pyrenees husky mix. Erza is cray cray, built like a barrel and stronger than me. She responded immediately and did not pull while wearing this collar. No pain was displayed she didn’t even try. YMMV but this unruly bitch is very submissive when wearing this color

Fit as described and is effective, I use it for recall training on a 30 foot lead and it only took one pull to get my dogs attention when she was too distracted for verbal commands alone.

This collar is great and should be effective...on a normal dog. I have resigned myself to the fact that I bought a velociraptor/clydesdale. This does keep his pulling in check 80% of the time, but he sometimes simply leans into it and churns pavement like a cart horse. I need to give up walking him and just buy a chuck wagon.

I looked and read every review for pinch collars and landed on this one. It was the only one that did not mention their dog slipping out in the reviews. It is smaller that I thought, but that is a good thing. I love that it is covered so people don't think she is not a mean dog with a big metal collar and I love that it has little rubber covers. It is light enough, which I like. And, the clip locks - more ease of mind. Easy to put on and off. Most importantly, it works!! We have been training so she stops reacting to other dogs. She is doing great! I do loosen it when we she is not pulling and take it off when we get. home. She does not seem to mind it and she the fact that it works makes me very happy. Worth the money!

Love this no pull dog collar and how it is covered so it looks like a regular collar. It is much easier to take on and off than the "regular" version of this one & does not hurt the pup when they pull. It makes walking on a leash easy. My 40 pound pup is wearing a size small.

My dog pulls. She is about 46lbs, medium size dog. And she will go wherever she wants. This collar actually helped me to get her to listen. She finally behaves at our walks and they are actually enjoyable for both of us. She gets her freedom where freedom is due and walks like a little lady, when other dogs are around. It's not too heavy for her and works great. Super durable too and the prongs are hidden, so people do not judge us. Paid itself off a 1000 times. Great overall!

Swapped this collar out for my Herm springer prong collar on my 10 month old pitbull female. Just was sick of the evil looks I got from people using the traditional prong. My girl was much more controlled, barely any pulling with the Traditional prong. After I switched it was like she realized how easy it was to pull and it actually ruined her walking/training. She is an impossible puller with this collar.. It simply does not work for large dogs with strong drive . It may work for some.. It looks nice nd appears decently made... it just did not work for me and actually set back my training. Switched back to the Herm, the pulling dropped off almost immediately. Too bad Im past my return window because this collar is going in the dog junk box. Waste of money. edit: increased a star from 2 to 3 due to the customer service.. they actually contacted me after my review and refunded my money long after the return date. while I still can't say its a 5 star product.. its nice to know a company stands behind their product. So an average overall experience i guess!
