I can see ALOT of people did not read instructions or bother to research before buying this particular bed. Since I have started sleeping on this futon my hips and back have never felt better not to mention the quality of sleep I am getting compared to a standard American mattress. I will say that you definitely want a thick tatami mat under it to protect it from the floor. As for the issue of the wrinkled up stuffing the instructions say to pat it out and let it sit so I highly recommend doing that so your experience is more welcoming. I will definitely be buying a different bag for stowing and carrying though cause the bag they send is poo.

I got this as a kinda guest bed and my guest said it felt so much better than the folding rollaway bed with mattress, that I had before. It also didn't get cold at night, despite being on the floor and has much more room. I'm happy with it.

It's great for what I needed. Expected it to be more like 6-8in thick is more like 4in. My 9 year has no issues on it, and adult might need two stacked or would be a good mattress topper. Overall very good quality construction.

It is fine, and I can still use it, but the thickness is at best 2.5" instead of 4" ... I expected some discrepancies due to the laughable product dimensions (4"L x 54"W x 80"Th), so I will keep it and make due. thankfully it is very foldable, so I am just gonna fold it in half till I find a good foam pad to put under it.

It is fluffy just like the picture but the padding used inside compressed pretty much to the floor. This mattress is only slightly better than sleeping on a piece of wood. I’ve rolled it up and put it away in a closet for if my kids have sleepovers. Would not recommend for anyone with back issues unless those back issues improve from sleeping on a very firm surface.
