This is 13" tall, and 16" x 12" on the step. That's a good deal larger than similar steps. I sometimes photograph events and need to have a tall tripod...and realized I needed a very stable, light step that I could stand on for 1.5 hours at a time, and not have to worry about "is it wide and long enough." The two latches that lock the step in place, after it's opened, are super secure, and additionally held with strong magnets, so it can't be accidentally moved. We live on a farm and we have an older gentleman that is our mechanic.
