I never ever ever write reviews! This product is legitimately amazing. I have a mini Bernese Mountain Dog. He’s about 50lbs (9mos old) and sheds 2x a year. So far, the shedding in the winter seems to be very heavy. I have brushed him with other de-shedding combs, brushes, etc. THIS BRUSH/RAKE… I can not even explain… how much fur came off of my puppy! He also was VERY happy and pleased to sit through the brushing .. it was almost like it was relieving him! I HIGHLY recco this brush for long hair dogs, it’s not sharp, not painful for the dog and truly, truly does the job it says it does. Best ever! The picture I shared on this review isn’t even all of the fur that came off in a quick 5 mins of brushing. If you have a long haired dog that sheds, get this! You’ll be happy and your dog will too! I’d suggest brushing outside or in a bathroom though so you can clean up or not worry about the rogue hairs that don’t get trapped in the brush. FANTASTIC PRODUCT!! ... show more

I bought this brush/rake-thing for my one cat. She's been sickly and hasn't been cleaning herself as well, so her back end has gotten all matted and clumped-up. It's not an instant fix, but it has made a huge difference, and we try to brush her a little bit each day to get as much out as we can. Even on the cats with normal coats it takes out a great deal more hair than the pet brush we were using before, which was one of those average jobbies with the plastic nubbies on the bristles. I saw others' positive reviews here and took a chance on this product, and I'm glad I did. Our cats all feel better for it - and there's less to vacuum up! I have used a variety of brushes to try and groom my pup. I was a big FURminator fan, and then one of my mom’s clients recommended this one. My mom got one for her dogs and so I took it for a test run on mine and OH MY GOSH!!! I LOVED it. It took our way more hair than the FURminator did and is way easier to clean! My dog loves it and actually sits still to be groomed. I swear I took a whole other dog off of him using this brush. His coat was so shiny and soft after. This tool really gets those under coat hairs loose and brings them to the top. I also love that it works through the clumps/ mattes on his neck where his collar sits. This rake worked better than any brush we've ever used. It was a nice size, and the two different take sizes worked great to break up the dense areas and then get out the fine fluff. My big guy is an 11 year old lab husky mix who has been shedding like crazy. He looked like a wild coyote and the fur just comes off in great tufts. This rake got so much fur out of his undercoat, he looks like a new dog. Gone are the giant tufts, and his coat looks smooth again. In the picture you can't even see all the fur because he is sitting on top of it. So happy with this product. ... show more

I have a medium coat GSD. He has a heavy under coat. It seems he "blows" his coat year round making him itchy. He rolls on his back and wiggles like crazy then when he gets up and shakes fur and tufts fly everywhere! Enter the Maxpower Planet Pet Grooming Brush. This thing is fantastic. Using the wider spaced side allows me to get deep into his undercoat. Short strokes work best. If your a fast groomer using quick strokes I recommend you do this outside. I take my time and have a garbage can next to me. The tool works so well that I am having to take the fur from the prongs after almost every other stroke. When that is complete I switch to the finer side with more prongs. For this side I use longer strokes. When finished he is such a handsome boy! Oh, and he loves it too! ... show more

I have ine of these but my dogs are short haired so it only really works on their butt fluffies. I got one for my mother in law who has arthritis and a golden retriever. She said it was super easy and comfortable to hold and use. She brushes her dogs daily then tried this brush and got so much undercoat out she was astonished. Trash bags full of undercoat, she was gleaming with how well it worked and how easy and fast it was! Not to mention shocked at how much hair was coming out even with regular brushing prior to getting this tool. I reccomend the undercoat rake to anyone who has a long fur dog ... show more

I’ve been brushing my dog every week for between 30 minutes and an hour for years and after using this for 20 minutes I had removed more loose hair than I had in 6 months time. I was using an undercoat rake, a sticker brush and a comb. All three were left in the dust by this thing. I’m so happy I bought it, highly recommend. My dog likes to be brushed normally - he did have moments when he was uncomfortable at first because there was so much leftover old undercoat to loosen up and remove, but once I made a few passes in an area he didn’t mind at all. I've tried for years to get a brush that would manage this cat's ever thickening and lengthening hair. She's like a drag queen! So glam. But nothing with those fine wire teeth or anything else can match the efficiency of this tool. In the photo, she's patting the wad of hair I'd already gotten off her today and a few sweeps later the brush is filling up again. I think her digestion will improve dramatically with this grooming tool, and I'll have a lot less hair around the house. The first one I ordered fell out of a ripped package, and the support person I spoke with, Ibra, could not have been more delightful to talk with and eager to get me my replacement. overall a very gratifying purchase. ... show more
