I was a little skeptical at first but I will say this chinese recast of the quadrajet is on point, may honestly be a little better than the original. I bought this to replace the early 70s original quadrajet on the 350 Sbc in my fishing boat. The primary and secondary shafts were worn beyond repair and the throttle blades didn't seal very well making it impossible to get idle below 1k rpm. The cost of a new quadrajet from JEGs is around $500 so I decided to give this carburetor a try. I'm not sure where the negative reviews are coming from on this piece, I think it's a lack of knowledge on how these carburetors function. I bolted this unit on and it ran right out of the box. As to be expected I had to make some adjustments to get it spot on. My particular engine ran a little rich on idle with the settings that it came with, but simply adjusting the idle screws got it just right. The jetting and metering is spot on in the higher rpm ranges for my stock 350. I did not have any issues with fuel overfilling the bowl as some others in these reviews have stated, I am running a stock replacement Carter fuel pump. I suspect that people with that issue have to high of fuel pressure and need to put in a 3-5 psi pump or restrictor inline before the carb. Give this thing a try and don't believe the people on here that should not be working on engines. The linkages are very tight and smooth and the throttle blades have a nice sharp sealing edge. It also has a nice high idle linkage that sets the idle about 400 rpms higher when the choke is on, my original quadrajet did not have that and it didn't cold start well. Also they put some different air jets in the primary fuel circuits and I will say it atomizes the fuel way better, that should help with fuel consumption. You have nothing to loose at this price, parts carburetors are getting hard to come by anymore and trying to tune are carb that's leaking air around the main shafts and secondary throttle blades is a waste of time, save yourself the headache and buy this thing, you'll be surprised how smooth and consistent the idle is. I'm not sponsored in any way just thought I'd put my experience with this piece out there.

This is a great carburetor replacement for any quadrajet. The electric choke is a great, but they failed to include the cable to connect the electric choke to ignition power. It's a weird type of connector too, it doesn't look like a spade. This carburetor also did not come with an idle solenoid which I had to take from my old carb.

80 motor home , Chevy 454. 150k . this thing has never started this good , warmed up this good or had this much power . 8 mpg , dont know what it was before. where do the brass plugs go and what are they for ? this is a great product .

After constantly messing with my new (rebuilt) QJet, I decided to gamble on this knockoff product. Having a shaker, I need to have the QJet dimensions to fit under the hood correctly. Worked out of the box & only needed to adjust idle & air/fuel to make it start & idle perfectly. Anyone looking for a cheap replacement for their 2nd Gen Trans Am will find this helpful.

I was skeptical at first..but this thing is great for the price...don't know how I feel about my mixture screws being about 2 3/4 turns out but hey...it's starting and running smoothing..no complaints here...For the price this is a steal!
