I’ve been using this head shaver for about a month now, shaving my head every 2-3 days. The 7D floating heads do a pretty good job contouring to the shape of my head, they move independently which helps get around the curves and back of the skull without missing spots. The close shave is decent, gets down pretty smooth though not quite as close as a traditional razor blade but way more convenient. The magnetic detachable head is really handy for cleaning - just pull it off, rinse under the faucet for a minute, shake it dry and pop it back on. No fumbling with screws or tools which saves time. Battery life is solid, I’ve gotten about 7-8 full head shaves on a single charge which lines up roughly with the 90 minute runtime they claim. Charging is pretty quick, maybe 2 hours from empty to full. The dual speed setting is useful, I usually start on low speed for my face and neck area since the skin is more sensitive there, then switch to high speed for the top and sides of my head. Here’s where I’ve had some issues though - the high speed mode can tug and pull on hair if I don’t go slow and steady, especially if I’ve let it grow out for 4-5 days. The low speed works better overall but takes longer to cover the whole head. The IPX6 waterproof rating works well, I’ve used it in the shower with shaving cream a few times and rinsed it directly under the shower head with no problems. The wet shaving experience is smoother than dry shaving for me. The unit itself is lightweight and easy to hold for extended periods. The grip is comfortable but can get a bit slippery when wet. Build quality seems decent, the plastic housing feels sturdy enough. The noise level is moderate, not whisper quiet but not obnoxiously loud either. The packaging it came in is nice, would work well as a gift. Overall it’s a functional head shaver that gets the job done with reasonable closeness and convenient maintenance, just be patient with the high speed setting.

My husband has been using it for a few days and it works really well. The shave is fast, smooth, and very close without irritating his skin. The floating heads adjust perfectly, and being waterproof makes it easy to clean. The battery lasts a long time, so it doesn’t need frequent charging. Very practical and effective highly recommended

UPDATE: 1/04/26 - Maxgroom Customer Support got in touch and wanted to send me a replacement for my defective head shaver. 1) I am impressed that they care enough about their product and business to rectify the situation. For me, this is a very big deal. 2) This shaver is AWESOME! I wanted to use it for a while before updating my review and I couldn't be happier with it! The battery life, variable speeds, ergonomics, and ease of use make this the best head shaver I've ever used...if it were lost or broken, I'd replace it instantly. If you're looking for a quality shaver from a company that stands behind their products 100%, you will not be disappointed! =========================== ORIGINAL REVIEW: I was excited to try out this head shaver after reading the initial reviews. I shave while showering and it gave me a nice, clean, close shave that was arguably better than similar products... HOWEVER it stopped working after the second use! The shaver says its at 100% charge when plugged up but will not turn on when asked to run on its own power. Maybe mine was just a dud, but for now 2 stars is the best I can give it.

The media could not be loaded. The first impression was very nice. It comes in nice packaging & overall this is a great functional package. The head shaver works great for the size without any issues. It is reasonably priced too & I would recommend it. My 2 cents below : Pros: - Works great for the size factor - Waterproof and hence provides peace of mind while using it anywhere - Has good battery life after a full charge - They don't have a proprietary charging port and use a USB-C interface for charging - Comes with multiple replaceable heads, which are useful in many situations - Great build quality - Very reasonably priced shaver Cons: - I wish they bundled a carrying bag in the set to keep it organized in the home or to travel with it

I have very little hair, but it’s quite coarse, and I was looking for a shaver that could handle it without irritating my skin. This one works really well. It cuts evenly without pulling, and there’s no need to go over the same area many times. Even on spots with tougher hair, the finish is clean and uniform. It didn’t cause irritation or burning like other shavers I’ve tried. It’s comfortable to use, fits well in the hand, and the battery lasts for several uses. It’s not a straight-razor shave, but it’s perfect for daily maintenance. It does what it promises and is worth it.
