We had this bed for over 2 years now and was disassembled and reassembled during our moving. Our boys play and jump on it as well. The slide is not very useful and kids slide down so fast that they don’t like to use it. Other than that, it has been a great bed and we love it :)

This actually wasn’t AS bad to assemble as the comments led me to believe. Took less than 3 hours to complete it by myself. The directions are about as clear as mud, but it’s enough to get the job done. Super cute bed overall and my toddler is very excited!

My 3yo loves it! It's a pain to change the sheets though. The parts arrived in relatively good shape; there was one piece with some cosmetic damage that I was able to assemble to be in the back and out of sight. I put this together in about 3 hours with help from my 8yo niece. One minor complaint is that the bed slats are so far apart. Having been warned about this from other reviews, I bought traditional firm mattresses instead of memory foam, so they would have a bit more internal rigidity to make up for the lack of support from the slats. A bunkie board would also work but I didn't want to spend the extra or to give up some of the headroom in the lower bunk. Caution: the slide is short & fast, with nothing to slow the descent at the bottom (picture a playground slide with a horizontal portion at the end; this doesn't have such a thing). Kids were hurting their tailbones upon landing. I keep the slide in a closet, and only bring it out under supervision and with some padding under the bottom edge (a folded-up blanket). ... show more

Great bed, low enough to the ground that I'm not terrified for my son to sleep on the top. Once a mattress is added you have about 6 to 8 inches of side guard left sonas long as your kids aren't standing up they will be fine. The beds overall quality is great and very easy to put together. I got the clay color and it's like a rustic barn kind of deal with a light grey tint so it worked perfectly with our style. We opted to not put the lower bed portion on so we could use the under the bed place as his little club house and toy storage as he has a smaller sized room. My child loves it. The slide is pretty steep so your child is going to fly down that thing. If the bedroom is upstairs your going to hear your child land and think they fell out of the bed. Scares me everything. Its been a month and everything is holding up perfectly bed wise. The curtain not so much. The fabric is too heavy for the tape they need to change the model to hooks and medal eyes or have the velcro side ready stapled or nailed on. Other than that it is grwat. ... show more

I just assembled this bed, and it is very sturdy. The problem I had was the instructions where not completely clear on some of the steps. Some of the pieces were marked, but they were marked inconsistently. Example of piece 2 having a left and right side, one piece had the L and R stickers, the other piece 2 did not. This left me guessing which was left and right, I was unfortunately wrong and I had to take it apart to correct it. Also for the head and foot (end ) pieces that you assemble, there are 28 smaller boards, 7 in each row that are very annoying to deal with. To assemble the end pieces you have to leave the screws loose, then slide the smaller boards in place, then try to place the next board on while sliding the 7 smaller boards in at the same time. It took me a few tries to get all 7 boards in because I would get one in and another would slide out. Once you have the end pieces together you have 4 boards that connect them, and the instructions have you start with the top pieces which I would not recommend you try if assembling by yourself. The last part that annoyed me was the boards that go across to hold the mattress was slightly shorter than they should be, so the screws provided were too short to hold the boards on properly. I ended up making a trip to Home Depot to get some slightly longer screws which worked perfectly. If you are handy and have a little common sense you can get through this little project, but if you are a complete beginner you might want to ask for help from someone that has a little bit of a clue. The only reason I didn't 1 star this product is because when I completed it the bed is very sturdy. I did notice the warning saying no one under 6 years old should be on the top bed. I kind of wonder what the point of the slide would be except for kids around 3 to 6 years old. ... show more
