The whole system went together in a few hours once we had both boxes of parts (read on). The frame didn't smell like excessive formaldehyde, like a lot of the cheaper online furniture does. All the parts were included with a few spare bits. All the boards and bits were straight except one piece of the bed cross-members, which was fractured. When contacted, this was immediately remediated, and we got new parts fairly quickly. I had a fun project putting this together with my daughter who loves it and sleeps on it, with a nice cubby/library/hide-away underneath. Of Note: the shipment comes in two packages, and Amazon doesn't indicate this when shipped. When the first box arrived, the shipping status indicated as though the whole thing was delivered, but we only had half the frame. The second part of the package did not arrive for another 3 days, and wasn't tracked. The boxes are quite heavy (about 50+ and 70+ lbs respectively) and one is over 6 feet long, so plan accordingly. ... show more

We bought this bed for our 7 year granddaughter for our beach house . Space is limited in the bedrooms so this was perfect for over the parents queen bed. All the parts were labeled and it went together so easy. Instructions I gave a 3 star there is only picture instructions, I like written detailed and picture instructions. My husband was fine with the pictures so we had no problem getting it together. It is sturdy, but it does have a little movement when the kids are jumping around. The media could not be loaded. I received the item with broken fittings for the attach bolts. I was able to repair the fittings with some wood glue because I didn’t want to attempt returning a box which was over 100lbs. When the repair was finished, I assembled the bed and I realized that it is incredibly unstable and will knock against the walls due to any small movement on the bed. This is definitely not worth the price. I recommend building one from solid wood, because this item is cheap material with cheap hardware. I would give this 0 stars if possible. ... show more

This bed is beautiful and the wood seems nice but two of the side pieces that attach from the foot to the head only screw in one side so the piece rotate. Which i think is why the bed is wobbly.

    • Not sturdy
This product arrived with several damaged pieces. After reaching out, the company sent a few replacements but the bed was built. Steps on the ladder have started to break off now from normal use. The bed isn’t very sturdy. Would not buy again.

The frame is light but sturdy and doesn’t wobble. An instruction video would be great, and more slats are needed to fill the gaps for comfort and support. Overall a good value.

This bed was fairly easy to assemble and is quite sturdy. The bed does wobble a bit when someone is moving around so we are careful about that. It’s almost inevitable that it will wobble as all the bolts are tight. I researched many beds before purchasing and this one had the best reviews and they are true.
