  • Amazing Quality, Crazy Value, Would recommend
I ordered the twin-over-twin with Trundle bunk bed in Walnut. Let me say to anyone looking for a quick review, this bed is amazing. The quality of the hardware and wood was above my expectations, then if you factor in the price, it’s also an amazing deal. Assembly: When I was researching this bed, this is probably where I saw the most negative comments. This bed takes time to put together, if you know that going into it set the right expectation then I think 90% of the complaints about assembly would be resolved. If you have a piece that is misaligned, try another identical piece to see if it fits better. Quality: This bed has a steel bar underneath the planks on both bunks. The bed is rated for 400lbs per bunk. The bed it was replacing from Ikea paled in comparison. The beds can be separated to make two twin size beds. The wood is solid wood that was stained not vinyl covered, I was very impressed. The design is very modular and very thoughtful, you can reverse or remove certain rails or sections to convert the bed into whatever orientation you would like. Negative: The only criticism I have, is the ladder has some screws that hold mounts to it, that connect it to the bed. Those screw holes needed to be either larger or deeper. The ladder began to split when I was tightening them down. I checked to see if the instructions said to drill out pilot holes. In the end I didn’t use all the screws because the ladder would have just split. Trundle: I have an 8” twin mattress on the trundle and it just barely fits underneath the bed. You wouldn’t be able to slide a made bed underneath unless you went with a 6” mattress. All in all, no big deal, but just to note. I also just want to say I was very impressed with the packaging of my bed. I was really concerned about broken parts and was anxious about inspecting it when it arrived. But it was perfect, Great Product! ... show more

  • Great product, no problems.
Excellent product. Shipped quickly amd got it on time. Only downside was the box itself was damaged. Putting the support slats was challenging, but otherwise the bed went together with ease. Got the dark blue and my grandson loves it. The bed is super sturdy. Would definitely buy again if the need arose. ... show more

  • A little rickety but otherwise a great product
Color: White Size: Twin/Twin
It’s good quality for the price, but not the sturdiest; it shakes and rocks a lot when someone is on the top bunk. My kids share it and sometimes wake the other up that way. It took my husband several hours to assemble (unassisted) I like that the weight limit is relatively high, so my husband or I can read to our kids on the bed as well The trundle is great for company or sleepovers, and is relatively easy to push back under the bed Otherwise it looks very cute in our kids room, and we are very happy with it (minus how it moves when the top bunk is being used) ... show more

  • Sturdy, nice looking bunk bed
Color: Blue Size: Twin/Twin
Very pleased with this purchase. It’s a great quality bed, very sturdy with solid construction. We used twin extra long mattresses for the bunk and a regular twin mattress for the trundle. Grandkids love it.

  • WONDERFUL STURDY BUNK BED
We are extremely pleased with these beds! One of the selling factors of it for me was the 400 lb weight allotment for each sleeping surface. Many other (cheaper choices were only 160). It was a HEAVY 2 box delivery for UPS. It had very good instructions (just pictures, no words) to follow. It did take approximately 5 hours for two adult men (who are accustomed to tools and woodworking) to get it built. The hardware included worked well. I liked that the ladder is not sticking out into the room. It does anchor securely to the side of the bed and can be positioned at either end at time of construction. The trundle bed can accommodate up to an 8" mattress. Don't let the higher price turn you away: IT'S WORTH IT! ... show more

  • Questionable Quality -- huge crack in 3months!
Color: White Size: Twin/Twin
UPDATED REVIEW: 8months in after purchase. I have contacted amazon and manufacturer as soon as crack was found. First person at Amazon who i spoke to was sympathetic and seemed understanding and was going to help. Until she transferred me. This next CS lady was abrupt and adamant and kept repeating that we are past return period. I kept explaining that we had all intention of keeping the bed but could not now, after seeing the large crack just 3months in. After a long while of back and forth and a whole lot of frustration, she said that we have to use the manufacturer's warranty and that she will contact manufacturer. Well, until now no word. I will pick up on this complaint again and make another attempt. Will update accordingly... ORIGINAL REVIEW: We were initially quite happy about this purchase. It was more expensive than others but we wanted to get the highest weight capacity we could find @400lbs so we wouldn't have to worry as our child grows and it could last us a good, long while with no worries and issues. We only have one 3.5yo son who uses only the lower bunk, and only gets on the top bunk seldomly to rotate books from his wall bookshelf above. The 2nd bunk was intended as extra bed. Assembly was easy enough though highly recommend 2people because of the liftings. Pieces were properly labelled and the whole setting up was uneventful and went quite smoothly for my husband and i. HOWEVER, 3months in and one morning as i was cuddling with my son in the lower bunk (I am petite at 110-112lbs), i spied what looked to be a pretty large hairline crack in the support piece that runs the entire length of one side of the bed, near one of the screws. I am flabbergasted as this bed is still fairly new at 3 months, very lightly used as only a 37lb boy who only sticks to the bottom bunk uses it, and very rarely goes to the top. I weigh 110 lbs, and have gone up there 2-3times to install the wall bookshelves and put in sheets. Nobody has slept in that top bunk as yet. My son has 3/4yo friends who weigh just as much as he does at approx 40lbs, and we have done a few playdates where we enforce the rule of absolutely no rough play on that top bunk. Even if at a time they all went up there to look at books and do pretend play, that should not have caused a crack as their weight collectively would only be about 120 and the weight limit of each bunk should be 400lbs! His 4yo cousin weighing 45lbs has only gone up to the top bunk only about a handful of times total to play pretend games as well.. My husband has never even gone on that top bunk and even he weighs only 170-180lbs (he is the heaviest in our household). Even if he snuck a quick climb (like he would), absolutely no way we ever went close to the bed limit of 400lbs. Absolutely NO WAY. Safety is always a top concern for us and that is why even with the raised top railings, we've trained our kid to sleep in the lower bunk until he gets older. If the weight limit of the bed is truly 400lbs, there should be no reason for a large hairline crack like this. I will try to reach out to amazon and the seller/manufacturer about this crack and will update this review as we go along. Hopefully their customer service is good (cross fingers!) ... show more

  • This Company ROCKS
Color: White Size: Full/Full
We got the full-over-full bed with trundle in November and had it professionally assembled through Amazon. From the start, I regretted getting a full-over-full. It was too bulky in the room, and more importantly, I was very nervous about the weight of a full over my three year old. The wood slats that came with our bed did not seem adequate and it bent with every movement. Maybe it was the "professional" assembly job? We'll never know. Now back to the bed. We lived with it for a few months until I just couldn't take the nervousness any time one of my boys climbed on top, not to mention if my husband climbed on to snuggle with a kid. So, I called Max and Lily and voiced my concerns, and asked if there was an option to purchase a twin to go on top of our current full. Nope, that's not what they did. INSTEAD, they sent me out a brand new, upgraded twin-over-full bunk bed from their Jackpot line (which is TWICE AS EXPENSIVE) with no questions asked. Zero dollars extra. Not even shipping. Not kidding. The new bed arrived less than a week later, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. So, while I cannot personally recommend the full over full, I will shout from the rooftops how amazing this company is and how high quality my new twin-over-full is. When I asked the rep why they were so willing to go above and beyond, she just said, "We like to make our customers happy, and we want you to not worry at night. We hope that you'll think of us the next time you look to buy some furniture." Oh believe me, I will. ... show more

  • Great quality sturdy bunk bed
Kids love it. It’s beautiful. Sturdy wood. Looks great and a great option for kids to grow into and multiple sleeping options. My husband said the directions were awful though. He put it together by himself and said the directions need to be better. Took him 4-5 hours and he used other tools than what it said to make sure everything was secured tightly. Awkward spacing between the wooden slats that hold the mattress. Wish they were closer together but overall solid bunk bed that we hope to keep for years and then can separate as stand alone beds. We have a full mattress that’s 8” with a latex topper (2”) on top both mattresses & there is plenty of room left with the railing on top for plenty of safety. ... show more
