• DOG RESCUES: Each month we donate to different rescues throughout the USA. At the end of every month, we tally up the number of leashes and collars sold. Based on the number, we determine how many rescues we can donate to for that month. We donate down our list of rescues until each one has received a donation and then we go back to the top of our list. In special cases, we will donate to rescues out of turn based on their immediate needs.
• QUALITY CONSTRUCTION: Our nylon martingale collar is 1" wide (5/8" XS, 1.5" XL size) and made with a 2mm nylon. We use a heavy duty nylon snap buckle that has a lockable tab to prevent accidental release. We use a thick D-ring which has a polished metal finish. A separate plastic tab is provided to hang dog tags and charms. The collar has a 2 wide reflective stitching bands which increase its visibility during night time walks.

WHAT IS A MARTINGALE COLLAR? The main difference between a martingale collar and a regular collar is that it tightens up as a dog pulls. The purpose of this is not to choke a dog, but to prevent a dog from escape the collar. Many dogs have heads that are the same size or smaller than its neck. With a regular collar, when a dog backs up from up, it may be able to slip a regular collar. With a martingale collar, when this happens, the collar tightens and prevents it from come up over a dog's head. "MANY DOG RESCUES ONLY EXCLUSIVELY USE MARTINGALE COLLARS" Our martingale collars are measured fully extended. When measuring your dogs neck, please measure his neck near the top portion and be sure to press down through all its fur to get an accurate measurement. Most people do not press down the fur to get a correct measurement. This leads to them over measuring their dog's neck and then ordering a size that is too large. When the collar is on your dog, the metal pieces at the ends should not touch. The nylon portion attached to the D-ring should be extended. If you pull on the D-ring and the collar does not tighten, then the collar is too large and must be adjusted smaller. GREAT FOR TRAINING A martingale collar also tightens if the dog is pulling on a leash. You can give your dog slight corrections and it will respond much better than if it were wearing a regular collar. For every collar sold, we donate a to a dog rescue.
