  • DOG RESCUES: Each month we donate to different rescues throughout the USA. At the end of every month, we tally up the number of leashes and collars sold. Based on the number, we determine how many rescues we can donate to for that month. We donate down our list of rescues until each one has received a donation and then we go back to the top of our list. In special cases, we will donate to rescues out of turn based on their immediate needs.
  • QUALITY CONSTRUCTION: Our nylon martingale collar is 1" wide (5/8" XS, 1.5" XL size) and made with a 2mm nylon. We use a heavy duty nylon snap buckle that has a lockable tab to prevent accidental release. We use a thick D-ring which has a polished metal finish. A separate plastic tab is provided to hang dog tags and charms. The collar has a 2 wide reflective stitching bands which increase its visibility during night time walks.

My Australian Cattle Dog came with one of these from the rescue group (Max and Neo donate a lot to rescue groups), and to be honest I thought it was okay. Eventually he grew out of it and I had to find another collar, preferable a martingale. I looked at a number of different kinds (and some were quite expensive), but kept coming back to the one already around his neck that had lasted eight months. I took a chance and bought another, and he's worn it ever since. It's cute, durable, the clasp holds him securely and comfortably and is really well made. Best collars—and buy one, a shelter dog gets one! The martingale collar from Max and Neo worked amazingly for my nervous shelter dog. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing she couldn’t slip out of it while we were on walks. Even now, four years later, we still use Max and Neo collars. Recently, I found a stray and happened to have an extra Max and Neo collar on hand. I was able to send him into rescue already wearing a brand-new, secure collar. I truly can’t say enough about the confidence a good, non-slip collar gives you—especially when helping anxious or stray dogs. The stray I found, “Luzi” (I believe that’s what Big Hearts for Big Breeds Rescue of Arizona is calling him), went into rescue with that collar, and it felt so good knowing he had something safe and reliable right from the start. ... show more

This collar has been very effective in quickly teaching my puppy to walk calmly on a leash. The collar has the side benefit of effectively restraining my dog when he unexpectedly becomes overexcited and fearful. Because he is a puppy and being introduced to new things I never know what might frighten him or send him into a panic. Today a FedEx truck came close to us unexpectedly as we were walking on the sidewalk in the neighborhood . My puppy just wildly tried to escape—into the path of the truck. Fortunately the collar did exactly what it was designed to do and he was not able to escape it and stayed within my control. An ordinary collar would have been an ineffective restraint annd he would very likely has slipped out of it. That scenario could have been deadly. One last observation. Before purchase I was torn whether the clap was a feature I wanted in a Martingale collar. After using it I have found it to be easier than the traditional design and very effective. Good quality, nice design, bought a medium in orange for 40lb 5 month old puppy. She has a smaller neck so fit is good. It does have one circular metal piece very small that I don’t know its purpose. It is on the metal sliding sizer. Don’t care for that.

This has held up longer than any other Amazon martingale collar we have tried. Happy with the quality. Purchased for my 92 lb boy who walks well on the leash and doesn't need a giant heavy duty thing to keep control. Love Max and Neo martingales. Been using them for 5 years now. Locking clasp makes it easier to get on and off the dog’s neck. I never had to replace them for breaking or fraying, only because they got dirty after so long. I also love that they donate a collar for each one bought.
