This is an excellent product and the Amazon price of $23.25 (at time of purchase) was superb. Luckily the manufacturer seal was intact (preventing leakage during shipping) because only about half of the screw-off lid was screwed onto the container so there was no way to close the bottle up after opening (& note that the missing half of the lid was not in the shipping box). Again luckily, i was able to salvage the screw-off lid off of my old empty bottle of So Silver so my problem was solved. p.s. this is a 5-star review but i inadvertently punched 4 stars & the review system will not process my attempt to change it to 5 stars. ... show more

I use this along with the Matrix So Silver Deep Conditioner, although I use this with every washing and the deep conditioner only 1x a week. It works really well to keep the brassy tones out of my hair. However, when I had platinum blonde hair, this particular brand wasn't strong enough. It works best for me when my hair is more of a "natural" blonde that is closer to my actual color. Here’s the troubling thing with this shampoo, as a natural blonde who highlights their hair to make it brighter, I haven’t found any purple pigmented shampoo that makes my hair brighter or shinier than this one! I’ve paid much more money for different brands of purple shampoo, yet I swear this brings out the silver in my blonde the best. However, I was suspicious of what a strong lather I always got with this shampoo, so I wasn’t shocked but was still disappointed that the first main ingredient in this product is Sodium Laureth Sulfate. While SLES is considered a little less harsh than SLS, it is still a detergent that can strip color treated hair of its color. Though hot water is the biggest culprit of color stripping, we all spend a lot of money on our color, and I know I’m not the only one that would like to cut out as many things possible that could strip it of that. In all, I love what this particular pigment does for my hair, and the accompanying conditioner is hands down the best at detangling, but I’ve been wary to re purchase it because of the sulfates it contains. ... show more

Great fragrance. I used all three products, shampoo, conditioner and leave in spray conditioner. I was looking for something to brighten my ash dark blonde hair and am very pleased with the results. Just blew dry it, no styling and my hair looks good.
