I bought this to be a detangler. I am not impressed whatsoever with this product. It’s hasn’t toned my hair at all, either, and it doesn’t provide any moisture at all. The smell is the only good thing about it.

I always have trouble with purple toning products as the ones that work tend to make my hair very dry, but this does not. It leaves my hair feeling moisturizing while also canceling out any of my brassy tones. I am very happy with it!

This stuff is fantastic!!!! I get highlights and this last time my hairdresser went a little strawberry brown with the toner. Ugh. I shampooed with dish soap and also did a 15 min purple mask. Nothing. I sprayed this on pretty heavily. It foamed and then I combed it through. Perfection! See my before and after. Super soft and easy blow dry. I have fine hair but a lot of it. My 50-something hair is over 50% gray, thick, and curly, with a tendency to need extra moisture so as not to appear frizzy. This MATRIX Total Results So Silver All-In-One Purple Toning Leave-In Spray & Detangler was used on my hair after shampooing with another quality brand of purple toning shampoo. I use purple shampoos and conditioners about twice a week to combat our well water (I also use a filter on the shower head) which tends to leave my silvers more brown than white. Using this product was easy, although I really wasn't sure how much to use. My silvers are throughout my hair and thus I need good coverage for my whole head. I went fairly light on the amount I used on my damp hair. The scent was pleasant and the product was easy to work through my thick, curly hair. I found the results to be OK, but nothing transformative. I was pleased that my hair wasn't sticky or stiff but had hoped for a bit more pop to my silvers and I just didn't see it. Maybe I need to use this product over a long period of time to see results? And maybe it would help to use the MATRIX purple shampoo and conditioner as well as this product?     • Smells wonderful, weighed down my roots a bit
This smells amazing first off! I sprayed it on my damp hair and brushed it though. It made my hair soft and silky. I blow dried it like normal and my hair felt silky and soft dry too. I didn’t notice any huge change in my highlights though. Maybe I need to use it more for it work? It also left my roots a little flatter and weighed down than when I don’t use this. It was almost like a leave in conditioner to me feeling wise. I’ll keep using it to see if it works more with use, but I’m going to avoid my root area next time. ... show more
