The media could not be loaded. The MATANE 15 Inch Ceiling Light is sure to light up any room with style. With its ultra-thin 1 inch profile, the light has a streamline look that puts the focus on the light, not the fixture. And the light output is generous at 3600 lumen. Lighting is managed by a remote control, with switches for ON/OFF, color temperature, brightness, a 30 min timer, and a night light. The color temperature range spans the full spectrum from warm white at 3000K to cool white at 6500K. Both color temperature and brightness have controls for gradient stepless and direct stepwise dimming, offing the user different options for how best to change those lighting qualities. I carefully evaluated the light at every possible setting, and was unable to detect any humming or buzzing in the electronics, or flickering of the lights. Bottom line, every feature worked exactly as intended, with no distracting artifacts. Installation is a snap, made even easier by a drop wire that attaches to the electrical box. With the wire attached to the box, it carries all the weight of the fixture, allowing the electrical wires to be connected without the burden of the fixture weight. It’s a feature that offers both convenience and safety, and should be included with all ceiling lights. Thanks to Matane for recognizing the benefits. This is a fantastic ceiling light, with a highly desirable style and attractive lighting. At the time of this review it was selling for less than $45.00. Came nicely packaged. Fast shipping. Unfortunately I could not install, I didn't see anywhere in the listing that the light needed to be installed to an electrical box. I thought it was battery operated av that I could attach to a ceiling that doesn't have an electrical box but needs a light, but this didn't work. I like the uplight a lot, it's adjustable brightness like the main panel and they don't flicker at all even at 10% power. You can dim this thing down really far for actual night light. I received the white model; I think if you want plain white it's very minimalist and uncluttered in appearance. Wiring is silly simple and the IR works even bounced off of other surfaces, to my surprise. I expected RF but I guess you don't really need it. I think the product photos are accurate. The room light is about equivalent to a single 9W LED bulb from Phillips rated at 800 lumens that I am using nearby however, so while this is a beautiful accent and fills the room with gentle light you'll probably want task lighting to back it up as a main source. As a side note it's just the right size for 3d printer cabinets and provides great diffuse light for this :) ... show more

Our son had an old builders standard light in his bedroom from the 90s so we were looking for something to update his room with. This light has so many cool options and features that it should suit anyone's needs. Every light option let's you control the brightness level even the night light feature which looks kind of like a halo. You can set warm or bright lights, night light, or both. Your switch can cycle through something like 4 different light settings and it has a memory to remember your last setting. It comes with a remote with more options like timer and quick adjustments to 50% or 10% lighting. Installation was okay. But ended up using the existing screws to mount rhe bracket to the ceiling since these did not seem long enough to fit the box in the ceiling. I installed this in my son's bedroom to replace a basic old contractor grade light. We love it! It was very easy and intuitive to install. The different light options are awesome! I think with all of the color and brightness levels, there is an optimal combination for any user. The main down light is vibrant and functional on the highest brightness settings. The night light is very yellow and doesn't have adjustable color, but that's not necessarily a bad thing; it's a very usable feature.
