I like this box a lot. I feel a lot safer travelling with it. At the airport, it's nice to have my jewelry and passport, extra credit cards, etc. locked up when the lines are long (still carry cash in palms tho). At TSA, bags get stopped or stuck in the machine, and you don't know whose what is being gone through for a few minutes, it's nice to know they couldn't take advantage (not that I suspect that but it has been documented that there are some bad apples out there!). I've never been asked to open the box, so it must be fine to see through. And I like using it during my stays where there might not be a safe. The only thing is that if someone really wanted to steal the whole box, it probably wouldn't be that hard. The wire chain doesn't appear to be super robust. ... show more

I purchased the Master Lock Portable lock box to secure my phone/cards to a pool lounger at an all inclusive resort. I was very pleased with it. With some careful packing, will fit two large iPhones, their magnetic wallets, and cash/cards. Only complaint is if you have pruned fingers from the pool or sunscreen on your hands it’s a bit hard to use the combination, but nothing a towel won’t fix! ... show more

If a criminal wants your stuff inside, they will get it and this wouldn't work. This isn't Fort Knox...but if you're at a water park or amusement park, and wanna tether a small safe to a pole to put your keys or phone into...this is perfect (That's what I'm using it for). This is a pretty decent safe. The wire that connects to it is coated in plastic and pretty long. I really don't know if there's any metal in the safe to make it more difficult to break into. But I wouldn't use it for anything super valuable. But it's a decent item for under $20 ... show more
