Like, very good product Dislike, only one key per unit.

  • Works as needed.
Like the fact the locks are keyed the same. Using them to secure my X Chaulks on a camp trailer. I know it won't stop a set of decent bolt cutters, but it will hopefully slow thieves down or make them move onto a less secure item in the camp.

  • Most thieves want an easier target
We needed many locks for our travel trailer setup and I knew I didn't want to get locks with a bunch of combinations to memorize, but I also didn't want a lot of keys to get mixed up with trying to figure out which goes with which. We love that the lock set works for all three locks and from what we've read only our 3 locks. I do wish they were a foot or 2 longer as they seem a bit shorter than the 6 feet they claim to be. That said, we've used them to lock our bikes up to the rack, our 3 kayaks at once to a thin pole by placing their noses close together, our surge protector to the power pole and even our generator to random points around our camper. We are going to get a second set so we don't have to rotate usage and to keep the keys/locks organized dab a little nail polish on the new 3 keys and locks to know which set goes with each. Sure, they are thin and if someone REALLY wanted what you have and they were prepared for that by bringing cutters they will get your things. They would get your things even if you had something 2 or 3 times as thick. What these locks do is completely take away the random spur of the moment passer by thefts. It also tells people, hey why not go onto the next site that maybe isn't secure and less dangerous to steal from. We are really happy with the purchase and the price makes sense. ... show more

  • The price tag makes this a STEAL!
I had a combo cable lock, Krytonite brand before I bought this. I bought it for around $10 in a bike shop cause I wanted to lock my front wheel, it wasn't heavy duty, just as thick as these locks. That combo lock broke off somehow while I was riding my road bike..probably because of vibration in the combo pad??..I really don't know, but that made me think, wow, bike store sold me some crap. So I had to find a new cable lock to lock my bike component(s), and after searching, I found this. First off, you get 3 CABLE LOCKS as shown in the picture. 3 Locks, 3 KEYS, 1 Key can open all 3 locks. The quality feels really good, and it looks good too! It locks w/o u having to use the key, so its much quicker if your in a rush to lock and go. Its color coated, so you can use 1 that matches your bike. Did I forget to mention you get 3 cable locks?! $12 and free shipping, you cannot go wrong, you will not find this deal ever in bike stores. You can lock whatever components to the frame of your bike! It is long enough to lock around my front and rear rim (27inch wheels)and I think about a feet longer then my old combo pad lock I had. My local bike shop tried to charge me $30 for a single, "heavy duty" cable lock, generic cable lock. That is ridiculous. At metro bicycles I got a OnGuard U-lock for that much, which will easily beat ANY cable lock. If you reading this, NEVER lock your bike w/ just a cable lock. Cable locks are used to lock your bike COMPONENTS to your frame or pole, You lock your bicycle with a U-LOCK or Heavy Duty CHAIN! You will find your bike gone if you just use a cable lock, any cable lock will get snap easy no matter how heavy duty it is. Anyway, this is a great deal you won't find in bike stores. I know from experience, they charge ALOT. I end up leaving not buying anything and going on amazon to order something, because their prices are ridiculous. You won't regret buying this, you'll be able to secure all your "quick release" bike components :). ... show more

  • Great but....
This is a great lock and chain for short term use not long term use. If you need something for every day use get the master lock with combination for $34 This set is perfect if you want to lock something up if your out camping or at the park. My little girl had her tricycle stolen at a koa camp site we frequently go to, this past memorial day weekend. So I purchased this set to secure my kids bikes while we camp or go to a local park this summer. The cord is heavy duty but the lock portion is light weight plastic and the key feels the same way. I would not use this set for over night securing your bike in a parking lot. A hammer could bust the lock easy. This set is great for day use at the park, camping, while you are around a public area. It's super easy for kids to use too. ... show more

  • Nice thick, long cable. Definitely deter thieves. 1 key for the whole family.
Keep in mind that there is no such thing as theft-proof. If someone wants something badly enough, they're going to get it. So there are two choices, spend so much money that breaking through the security would cost the thief more than the value of the item you're protecting...or make it so inconvenient that the thief will just move on to easier pickings. These locks do an excellent job of showing a would-be bike thief that they'd probably prefer to move down the line. The cables are thicker than you're probably thinking based on the description. And with the plastic coating, they're so big that my 3-foot bolt cutters have a hard time fitting around them...no thief with a pair of tin snips is going to cut through these cables! This is a perfect package for my family. Three of us ride, so we can lock our bikes up and only have to worry about keeping track of one key. The cable is more than long enough to go around the frame and through the front tire then around a bike rack. I also like that the heavy plastic coating on the cables helps protect the bike's finish from being scratched, so we just leave the locks coiled around the frame when we're riding. Masterlock indicates that there are tens of thousands of different keys for these locks (and being the #1 name in locks, I have no cause to doubt them), so you don't have to worry about someone buying a set and using the key to open your lock and steal your bike. All-in-all, I can't find any downside to these locks, and they meet each and every requirement I have for a bike lock. ... show more
