My initial purpose for selecting this massage gun was to help ease lower back pain in the morning. While I lay on my side, I place the machine against my lower back and prop a pillow to keep in place for area where I feel most discomfort. I have been experimenting with different speeds and intensity for relief and it is working well for this purpose ... it would be helpful if there were detailed instructions for the settings/controls. I replaced the 16 ball gray set with the 24 ball black set as I prefer the coverage and comfort the black set provides - the gray set felt much harder as it pounded against my skin. A massage/vibration session with the massage gun on my lower back is now part of my morning routine before I get out of bed and it has eased the creaks and pinches I feel when rising. One evening while suffering from a more intense bout of RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome), I decided to try the massage gun on my knees/shins, calves, then on my feet – and I am happy to share it has provided significant relief by increasing the blood flow to my lower legs and also helps relax me overall. As already noted, the instructions are minimal and would be more helpful if detail on each setting were provided. I have begun making my selection- writing down the setting, seeing how it feels and then making a note on experience and level of preference. I am deducting one star for the extra work it takes to supplement the instructions with this description of each of the 30 settings.

I currently own about eight back massagers. I’m always looking for one that I can use myself and that will allow me to access the spasms in my back that I want to work out. The ones I have are all different styles and this one is even yet another style. I’m really happy with this massager. It comes with heads that can be easily swapped out without tools. You just pull them out and put the new one in. It just gives you options, whether do you want something softer or harder. The 30 intensity levels are awesome because you can go super gentle or really deep depending on how sore you are. It’s also quieter than I expected, which is a big plus because I can use it without it soundinglike a power tool or disturbing other family members who may be watching TV. I like that it’s cordless and lightweight, so it’s easy to hold with both hands and move it around my back by myself without any assistance from anyone else. I can control how soft or hard I direct it to my back. It really is a very easy to use design. There are so many settings that it can feel a little overwhelming at first, and I had to experiment to figure out which ones I liked best. I’m not sure if the red light is beneficial on this, but I have read that it does not take a lot of exposure to red light to get the effect. I’ve read that it only takes a minute and a half of exposure. So If that’s the case, then a quick massage with the red light on would be sufficient and it may help with healing and relaxation. Of course the jury is out on these things. Overall, it does exactly what I want it to do—helps with muscle soreness and lets me use it myself on my hard to reach back muscles.. I definitely appreciate the features for the price.
