The media could not be loaded. We received delivery of our new insert fairly quickly. It arrived very well packaged and it was easy to install. The unit offers various different modes when it comes to the height of the flame, the abundance of lighting and the color of the background. Also included was a remote control that pretty much controls every feature from a pretty good distance. The heating options are low & high, and on high it does provide an abundance amount of heat. It actually raised the temperature of our house by 2 degrees in a short period of time. It has a sleek and simple profile but packs a punch on selections. The only negative thing we can say about this unit is that the crackling fire sound just does not sound realistic at all. Overall we are extremely happy with this insert and are fully enjoying it on movie nights cozying up with a blanket. PROS: - Timer goes up to 8 hours - Heat Setting Low/High- Fan works well - Different lighting Scenarios - Different Flame Settings CONS: - Crackling sound is not realistic ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I just received it and it did have a side bend but sure it can be bent back. The remote, I have to press the buttons like 3 times before it does anything so will contact seller and I am sure they will send a new remote. Other than that it is perfect and a perfect fit and heat is nice. I live in a rv and I could not find any fireplace mantle to fit. They were all to big for the corner. I bought a target $60 white bookcase 10 years ago and it's been my tv stand. I decided I was going to create my own fireplace mantel. Dismantled it sanded and primed all separate pieces and then painted then reassembled. I didn't like the solid color of paint....so contact paper it is, and it worked amazing. The top part is a adjustable shelf and I drilled my own holes so I could adjust it to the right height for the fireplace measurements. Now I am excited to get my new floors and paint my walls. Day 1 and super happy. Everything works perfect besides remote and it kicks out great heat. I'll update if something happens down the road. Update: I talked to the seller and they offered me a 15% refund for the dent and we felt the dent could be bent out. I did not want to return it so will bend out the dent. They gave me a tracking number for a replacement remote right away. Very easy to work with and 15% was their offer if I didn't want to return the fireplace. I accepted and was happy. ... show more

Got this as Christmas gift for my wife. It was one of the few that was large enough to fit our existing opening. Appearance The visual appearance and fire simulations is top notch. You can change the brightness level to your liking which will vary based off the ambient lighting in the room. There's a set of LED projector lights above the logs. Oddly enough, there are only color settings, orange, blue, and purple. Not sure why they didn't maximize this feature and put a full spectrum of colors in. Sound Effects It also comes with a built fire crackle sound effect. It's a great idea in theory but the execution is not there. The speaker used is a about the cheapest option they could of went with and sounds like it's coming from a handheld video game system in the 90s. That was very disappointing. Heating Lastly is the ability to put out heat. It does a decent job and keeps the sound to a minimum. I would like it to produce a bit more but I'm not unhappy. Installation For those wondering about installation, there's not much to it. The unit stands right up. It's a typical 3 pronge plug. The potential complications can vary based on your setup. My opening was slightly taller than the unit so put a 3/4" skid together for the unit to sit in and fill the gap. The wire comes from the back of the unit so you may have to think about how you will reach and outlet. One additional small observation, we have a Fire Stick right about the fireplace, whenever I adjust the TV volume with the Fire Stick remote, it activates the display on the fireplace. Nothing changes, it just lights up. Remote appears to be on the same frequency as the fireplace. ... show more

This is a great fireplace. The only thing I do not like about it is the crackling sound, which was a feature that I really wanted. There’s no way to adjust the volume that I can find and it doesn’t sound genuine. So I rarely use the crackling, which really relaxes me, but the light is great, and the features are great, and it heats up my entire lower level. Also, because fireplaces are so relaxing for me, I like the fact that I can use this in the summertime and not use the heat. That’s a great feature! ... show more
