  • Bluetooth to phone for one time calibration and live adjustment of sub settings
I have magnapan speakers, subwoofer must be fast to coordinate with the magnapans. Tryed Jl’s they were really good a close second but they didn’t have the app for adjusting or either the calibration component or live adjustment of 20 to 30 Hz or level. For me this was a dealbreaker I continuously adjust the sub because music content varies substantially recordings of music type and level. Bottom frequencies annoy me without having the level of adjustment with the Martin Logan allows. Do you need to get at least the 600 800 or 1000 to utilize the anthem arc calibration system. The downloads it directly to your Martin Logan subwoofer once has completed it, Maps the best bass E Q, without any standing waves. ... show more

  • Consider another sub first
Disconnects every two days (red light starts blinking) and the sound isn’t that impressive. Fingerprints are extremely noticeable and hard to get off

  • 3 WOW features - ANTHEM ARC/mobile app/front vs down firing
The ANTHEM ARC calibration application to let your choose where to keep your subwoofer in your room instead of crawling across the torn to be forced to use a spot, is MAGIC. able to use it front facing vs down firing is another killer feature. plus amazing subwoofer software for configuration. All these can be done at the comfort of listening position… welcome to new generation of subwoofers that have a perfect balance of performance vs practicality… ... show more

  • On the fence/mixed thoughts
For its size, it's quite powerful. Unfortunately, sound quality is a very subjective thing. I personally think it sounds very good in terms of quality. I did have to put 1/2" foam under the feet. At higher than normal bass levels, it will shake itself so violently, that it rattles itself. Not that there's anything loose inside, just that the vibrations are so strong, the unit is moving up and down rapidly. While the unit is heavy for its size, it's not heavy enough to keep it from doing this. That being said, it's not particularly loud, although as loud as it does get, there's no discernable distortion. I'm comparing it to my car audio 12" sub. While I personally think the 12 is louder, for its size, this 10" is very capable. With that, bass is meant to complement mids and highs, not overwhelm them. Also subjective to the listener. I did use the app to adjust it. While there was a difference, I'm not sure if it was better per say. It wasn't worse, so there's that. I do think it's a bit overpriced for what it is. I've just recently discovered Martinloagn/Paradigm. If their quality stands for 10 years, I'll be happy. Again, sound quality is subjective regardless of what instrument measurements report. A $100 sub could sound better than this sub to anyone, however, that $100 sub could break in a year. I'd rather spend a little more than I'm willing, to get better longevity. Disclosure, I bought this from bestbuy, to rule out any possible mishaps with handling. I'm hoping Martinloagn isn't like Leica/Hasselblad/PhaseOne (overpriced cameras). With a pair of Neolith speakers at $100,000. I'm thinking they might be. ... show more
