- PROFESSIONAL GUITAR STRINGS: Discover your guitars true voice. These strings are designed with higher tensile strength and tin-plated core wire to enable a full and balanced tone, a quicker response, and an increased tuning stability. Theyre available in extra light, custom light, light, and medium gauges.
- HIGH-QUALITY DESIGN: Made from 80/20 bronze, these acoustic strings feature top-quality bronzed-steel core wire and bronze wrap wire. At first, the sound is a bright, punchy attack. It quickly mellows out as you play, making this pack ideal for bluegrass players.
- SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE: Best for rigorous practice and performance, our acoustic guitar strings can be used for fingerpicking and flat-picking. If you have finger fatigue after playing or wish bending notes was easier, try a lighter string gauge.
- VERSATILE STRINGS: String gauge is an important part of getting the best sound out of your guitar. We recommend using only our extra-light through medium-gauge strings on our guitars. Medium-gauge strings deliver more volume and are perfect for larger-bodied guitars.
- THE TONE YOU DESERVE: For every handmade element we craft, we never forget why we do it: to help you set your creativity free. Youll find a wide range of Martin strings that fit your instrument and playing style. Enjoy incredible tone, no matter what you play.

Great tone on Little Martin
Size: Medium 13-56, 80/20, HT Bronze
The search for the perfect strings for my Little Martin LX1 led me to the Martin Authentic Acoustic Guitar Strings - Superior Performance Medium, and I'm thrilled to say they have exceeded my expectations in every way. The medium gauge strikes a perfect balance on the Little Martin, delivering a full-bodied sound that is surprisingly warm for a travel-size guitar. Whether strumming or fingerpicking, these strings consistently provide a tonal depth that complements the LX1's smaller body exceptionally well. These strings offer a remarkable blend of playability and longevity. From the first strum, I noticed an improvement in both volume and sustain. The strings respond beautifully to subtle nuances in playing, making the Little Martin LX1 feel like a much larger instrument. Even after hours of play, the strings maintain their responsiveness and tone, a testament to their durability and consistent performance. For those who own travel-size guitars like the Little Martin LX1, these strings are a perfect match. They enhance the natural characteristics of the smaller body, providing a warm and resonant sound that defies the guitar's compact size. Whether you're strumming by the campfire or playing in a more intimate setting, the Martin Authentic Acoustic Strings bring out the best in the Little Martin.

spent a lot of time fretting about this review...
Size: Bluegrass 12-56, 80/20, HT Bronze
I have used Martin Bluegrass strings for many years. They have nice brightness in the trebles, and warm bass notes. They last about like most strings. Solid quality strings from a company well known for their products. I will probably continue to use them. After playing guitar for years, I thought it would be easy to learn the piano. But it's not an easy instrument to pick up...

Great strings and sound great on my Martin.
Size: Extra Light 10-47, 80/20, HT Bronze
It was time for new strings and I decided to go lighter and they sound great and very comfortable to play.

Not the greatest ever
Size: Custom Light 11-52, 80/20, HT Bronze
These Martin strings are inexpensive, and they definitely sound inexpensive. I can't say they sound bad or out of tune, but compared to Elixr or Ernie Ball, they lack that premium full tone in comparison. Great for the budget guitar player though.

Grat value and very consistent performrers
Size: Custom Light 11-52, 80/20, HT Bronze
I have used Martin strings on my acoustics for a very long time (over 40 years). They last a little longer than some, but their real strength is in their consistency from set to set.

Good change up
Size: Custom, 11.5-47, Silk & HT Steel
I typically run 80/20 bronze 12s on my Martin 00 14 fret. They're my go to. To switch it up, I tried these Martin MA130 Silk and Steel. I had to slacken the truss rod about 1/4 turn to maintain the action where I like it. They aren't as loud as the 80/20 lights, but they still sound quite robust and well balanced, while being easier to play. Tone: They push the guitar toward the classical end of the spectrum in sound and feel-especially the wound strings. They also manage good resonance and decent sustain while cutting back the sympathetic harmonics between strings. Feel: Responsive and easier to play, of course, with over 40#s less tension than I'm use to with the 80/20 lights.
