This is a beautiful comforter that's light and fluffy, and the fill is evenly distributed. It doesn't have the crunchy feel or sound to it like some other feather filled duvets do. It's light enough in weight that I'm able to use it even now in the spring and it's not too hot, but is thick enough that it will provide some warmth as well in the cooler months. The feathers inside have been washed to remove the dust and such that gives most people allergies. So it's considered a hypoallergenic down fill. The fabric used in the duvet is even quite nice, to the point where if you wanted to use it without a cover it would still feel amazing against the skin. However I prefer to use a cover just because it makes laundering everything easier. The king is a generous size, with plenty of blanket to reach over either side of the bed. It fits inside my duvet cover well. And because this is a medium, all-season weight/warmth, I'm able to wash it at home in my own washing machine, compared to needing an oversized one for the thicker, winter comforters. I did notice that the directions say dry-clean only, but I've already washed this at home once when I first received it and it came out looking great. There was no issues. Overall I'm quite pleased with this comforter.

This comforter from Martha Stewart has a cover which is a blend of 55% tencel and 45% cotton. Tencel is very soft, so this comforter feels amazing. But be sure to buy a duvet cover for it before you use it, since you cannot clean this comforter in your washing machine. The filling is 75% goose down and 25% goose feathers, so you can only dry clean it. If you take care of it, this comforter should last you for years. It's certainly the nicest one I have ever owned.

This is a nicely constructed duvet, but it's not perfect. It's not a plush and fluffy as some other lightweight/all-season duvets I've seen, and honestly it feels like it sleeps warmer than my previous duvet. However, I like to have a backup insert for my duvet cover, and this is good enough to fit the bill. Plus, the price is on point!

*UPDATE* After using this a little longer, I've noticed a large amount of feather shedding. I looked all over it for holes and there is none. It's so bad it's all over my kids floor and we stopped using it. *Original Review* This goose down duvet insert is so soft and lightweight! I ordered it for one of my kids beds and plan to buy a second one for my other child. I put it in a duvet cover so it doesn't get stained and dirty but the material is very comfortable by itself. I didn't notice any feathers poking through while using it on it's own or with the duvet cover. I love how lightweight this insert is making it a great comforter throughout the year.

This product did not disappoint! I ordered this to fill a duvet cover I fell in love with and had to have. The blanket was easy to fill in the cover, the corner tabs made it a breeze to keep in place, helping to fill out the duvet cover. I am not a fan of stand alone down comforters, I personally feel that they all need a cover, or a way to protect them from daily wear and tear, especially the down filled ones, however, this blanket is beautiful all on its own, no cover needed. I will most, likely never use it in that capacity, but appreciate it all on its own for its simple elegance. In this case, you do truly get what you pay for, a great product for a reasonable price, recommend.
