I bought this Amazon Fire 7 Kids tablet for my granddaughter, and she absolutely loves it. It's a great size for little hands, and the protective case gives me some peace of mind when she's carrying it around. The parental controls are a big plus. It's nice being able to control what she has access to and know that the content is appropriate for her age. She enjoys the games, videos, and educational content, and it's easy enough for her to navigate on her own. Battery life has been very good, and the tablet has held up well to regular use. I also really like that it's designed specifically with younger kids in mind rather than just being a regular tablet handed to a child. Overall, it's been a great purchase and, most importantly, my granddaughter really enjoys using it.

I recently purchased the Amazon Fire 7 Kids Tablet, and I couldn't be happier with my decision! This tablet is perfect for kids, offering a great balance of functionality, entertainment, and parental controls. The device itself has a bright and colorful display that is excellent for watching videos and playing games. It’s durable, which is a big plus for kids who might be a bit rough with their devices. The included kid-proof case gives me peace of mind knowing it's protected from drops and spills. One of my favorite features is the Amazon Kids+ subscription, which provides access to a wealth of age-appropriate books, videos, games, and educational content. My kids love exploring new stories and shows, and I love that it keeps them engaged and learning. Parental controls are easy to set up and manage, allowing me to set screen time limits and ensure my kids are accessing safe content. The interface is user-friendly, making it easy for my little ones to navigate without my constant assistance. Battery life is impressive too; it lasts through multiple hours of use, which means fewer charging interruptions during family road trips or outings. Overall, the Amazon Fire 7 Kids Tablet is an excellent investment for any parent looking to provide their child with a fun and educational experience. I highly recommend it!

Purchased for my 4 grandchildren. These tablets are great quality and price. They are the perfect size for travel, very suitable for kids, my grandchildren love them. No matter how many times they drop them they still work.

You know, this is SUPPOSED to come with 16GB, but what they neglect to tell you is that of the 16GB of storage, only 10.67GB is actually usable. You would think, okay, that makes sense until you see that that 10.67 is accessible because it doesn't include the system OS of 7.1, ultimately leaving you 3.57GB of space for apps and the likes. A complete sham if you ask me. So yeah, does it work? Yeah. Are parent controls good? No, but considering other OS's, it's the better of them all and that's saying a little, not a lot. This is the most bizarre thing I've ever seen. I have no clue where my missing 5GB of internal storage space is, and that's what ultimately ruins this whole thing. I did get an SD card for the thing, but that's not going to magically add more apps to my device since I'll be using it for media. I'm so disappointed in Amazon for this device's quality, set-up, and parental controls. It's like a half baked idea thrown out the window like, "Here you go" without ever fully completing the device's prototype. This is awful.

Regrettably, after I smashed the first one in anger at it not working, we purchased a second tablet. Save yourself the trouble and just don't bother with it. Unless you pay for more GB, which is NOT worth the money, you'll only be able to use ~3 apps. Originally purchased a tablet with "10 GB" storage but the software to run the tablet takes up 9 GB. Was only able to download a few apps before the storage was full up. Had to purchase a separate microSD card, which is cheaper than paying for the higher GB tablet. It was annoying to setup the external microSD card, not intuitive at all and the Amazon help pages were useless on it. Wish I could remember which option to select, but it took trial and error. It's like they want you to give up and instead purchase another tablet with more storage -- which mind you, I got more storage and bang for my buck by purchasing a separate microSD card for it. If you're still planning on purchasing this, I don't recommend shelling out the extra $$ for the "32GB" option (remember, after the OS takes up 10GB of space, you'll only have 23GB left to use. The Amazon Kids subscription on this tablet is clunky to use and unless you want your kiddo to have full access to a fire tablet / web access / full app store / etc. then this is NOT the tablet for you. It takes the parent putting in a ton of securities to prevent little kids from accessing things they should not. Which, in turn, makes it annoying to switch between profiles but also necessary to make it kid-safe to use. The Kids Amazon parent dashboard settings and content management is the WORST I've ever used 😮💨 I'll try to sum it up --- the "daily limit" settings makes it difficult to access the tablet, even when it's within the daily usage limit (set from 8AM-8PM and yet at 11AM, I was still locked out of the tablet and had to restart it to gain access). The option to "limit to educational content only" for a specific time, DOES NOT allow educational content to be used. ABCMouse, which is an educational app, is unable to be used when this limit is applied -- but yet "Frozen Free Fall" is "educational" -- whoever made that decision, clearly has less than a high school education. Additionally, the Amazon kids+ comes with a massive amount of content that's difficult to find when not on looking at it from the parent dashboard and you can only select one at a time. Block 20, and 30 more appear. It's annoying. I also do not appreciate having things auto-loaded to my kid's tablet for content such as "Vlad and Nikki" which is a tv show that's one step above YouTube unboxing videos. Children don't learn anything from those videos other than how to be materialistic in life. The ONLY positive is that the case has managed to keep this thing safe since my kid was 1 years old to now almost 4 years old, without any bumps to the device and the case itself is still fully intact. Review Synopsis: I don't recommend this product to anyone. Product is subpar for the price. You WILL need an additional microSD card to use more than a few apps on it. Amazon Kids+ subscription is basically unlimited internet and content, no matter the age limit set. Parental dashboard/limits are lame and don't work well.
