Disclaimer- this picture was taken when I was just testing things out and letting my dog get a feel for it so that is why it is only attached to her leash. When we actually drove, I attached it to her harness. Typically my dog is very upset and anxious when I have her doggy seatbelt attached to her harness. To me it seemed like she wanted to be able to get up on my lap and have a better view out of the windows, but I absolutely cannot drive with her distracting me like that and I am too anxious about her flying out of a window if I got into an accident. I ordered this because I thought that maybe if she was securely positioned a bit higher and could easily see what was going on through the windows, she would be a bit calmer. Well, it worked! She didn't whine at all during the 2 hour drive we took to visit family over Memorial Day weekend. This was a great investment. It was easy to put together and the instructions were clear. I wish I had this years ago.

I made a car seat for my 8 lb dog 10 years ago. She loves to ride in a seat that gets her up higher, so when the seat started to fall apart I started searching for a new one. I came across this seat and decided to give it a try. The striped fabric looks nice and feels sturdy. The fact there are pockets on each side, and one on the front that a piece slides into that helps with sturdiness, is nice for storage. The straps fit easily over the car seat and are adjustable. The fury liner is very thin, so I am not sure how well it will hold up. My dog also likes to put her head over the edge, but the seat was too deep for her to do that. I put a pad I had for a create in the bottom of the seat (brown furry piece in the attached pictures) and it raised her up high enough that she can once more look over the edge. The car seat is now able to do what I need. Next is to see how long it holds up.

We went on a trip recently, and I didn’t want my Maisy on my lap the whole trip. I thought I would try this out and it was well worth it! She loved it. She rolled in it the whole time. She had the vent above her that made her feel good. And she could look out the window. she didn’t get carsick which I was a big factor of me buying this. I think it’s a very well put together seat and I’m happy I made the purchase.

My 15 lb Velcro Dog fits nicely in this new little seat and it keeps him safe and comfortable (despite his constantly complaining about not being in my lap) for our drives. It's up off the seat enough to allow him to look out the window and access the breeze without risk of injury and to also provide space for a bag or backpack or other cargo under the pet seat. I really appreciated the bonus collapsible water dish and the cleanup bags and dispenser. Love that the seat itself has multiple pockets for stashing necessities like a leash, treats, etc. The construction seems well done and solid. I appreciate the metal frame and the panel that provides extra rigidity to the front of the box. I was worried the bottom would not hold up to a dog's weight and constant movement, but this is wonderfully sturdy without being bulky or heavy. It was easy to install in my CX5 and I look forward to many safe travels with my buddy. Some advice I may have missed in the packaging: Make sure you use a well-fitting harness and not your dog's collar to clip the restraint to. You risk harming your pup if you attach this to a collar or a loose harness. Also make sure you give your friend enough slack to change position comfortably but not enough to escape from the seat.

I got this seat so my puppy would have a safe place to be while in the car. I like that it is suspended above the seat so that it doesn’t activate the airbag sensor. There is a tether that is just the right length. It allows her to lay down or sit up but she cannot climb out. I’m very happy with my purchase.

So my dog loves to sit on laps. Solo long trip with my fur baby and i do not allow her on my lap while i drive. This carrier box is strong and very secure. I was able to put a blanket, toys, and her (14lbs) all in the carrier comfortably. It helped keep her calm for the 12 hr drive. Also i like all the pockets around the 3 sides.
