This small dog car seat is an excellent value. It's very plush, and boosts my dog up higher than many other seats, so that she can see out of the car window. It's washable (a huge perk when you have a young puppy) and very easy to disassemble and reassemble. It looks very classy too. The harness seems secure, like it would keep my dog from flying out of the seat if braking hard. The biggest reason I am giving this item a 5-star review, however, is their customer service. Our CKCS loves this booster seat! We noticed he was having a hard time getting comfortable in the car but since getting the seat, he loves being in the car! We purchased both sizes and kept the small as it fits perfectly on the middle back seat of my husband’s car and he still had plenty of room to reposition and lay down. This is my second purchase of a k & car seat. They are amazingly sturdy, balanced and protective of my fur babies. Older dog is 20 lbs and will not get in the car unless it is in this carseat. She has room to curl up or sit up, even with the straps connected to her halter. The new purchase is for a tiny poodle 4 lbs. inherited from a family member who said dog wouldn't stop shaking in the car. She is very happy in the carseat, no fusing, shaking or crying. Just looks around for awhile and goes to sleep. Both carseats are a size small. I can put a toy and or a small blanket in each with dog. K-N is the best. My babies are safe and secure. This booster car seat has been a game-changer for our small dog. The elevated design gives him a much better view out the window (which he obviously loves), and the foam bolster at the edges makes him feel secure without feeling boxed in. I appreciate how it uses the car’s seat belt for secure installation, and there are two safety tethers so we can clip onto his harness. It’s easy to put in and take out, which is great since we sometimes switch it between vehicles. The material is durable on the outside yet really comfy inside — the plush fleece liner is soft and seems to hold up well. Cleaning is simple (removable washable cover helps a lot), and the fact that it collapses flat for storage is a nice bonus. I am so happy with this product! Had I known they work this well, I would have bought them a long time ago. I originally bought the larger one that is 24” wide and it was a little larger than it was to comfortably put the seatbelt through and click it in. I returned that one and bought the smaller one. Perfect width to the seat and easy to click in the seatbelt. Also fits better in a front bucket seat if I ever want to do that. I have two Chinese Cresteds. One is 8.5 pounds and the other is around 12.5 pounds. They definitely both would have fit comfortably in the larger one together and had plenty of room. It is tighter in the smaller one but they can fit together. I decided though to get each their own so that there are no “tiffs” while we are driving. Yes - they act just like normal brother and sister and get on each other’s nerves occasionally so I thought I would try a seat for each of them. The first ride with them in these seats is the least stressful and most quiet drive I have ever had with them. Once we figured out how long each safety strap should be for each of them, they couldn’t jump out but could still move around comfortably. My dogs love them and rest comfortably in them while they are riding in the car. I highly recommend these! They are worth every penny I spent on them. ... show more
