I ordered two of these carries for 2/3 of my boys and I am throughly impressed!! The quality is amazing, it feels sturdy and well made. Exceeded my expectations. This is my fourth carrier from this company. I bought the first one years ago when I only had one cat. Now that I have three cats and one small dog, I needed a few more. We recently had an evacuation in my town and I had prepared by buying enough carriers for all my animals. These worked great because I stored them flat in my closet and quickly popped them up and put my fur babies in them. I have two small cats that like to be together, so I bought one that was a little bigger and put those two cats together. It was so fast and easy to grab them, put kitties and doggies in them, and then place them in my car. I could not be more pleased with the safety and durability of these carriers. They worked perfectly when I needed them or when I just take my pet to a vet appointment. I get so many compliments on how nice they look as well. I will buy more if the need arises. I am very impressed with the build-quality for the price! I’ve spent almost twice as much for other lower-quality pet backpacks and soft carriers, so I love that this is the perfect blend of soft materials, a hard/strong framework, and less importantly, an overall stylish carrier. My cats are 9.5 pounds (the small gray cat) and 13.5 pounds (the medium tiger tabby cat). My bigger cat is very long and tall (think oriental shorthair mix), so the 15 inch ceiling is a little low for him, but it’s fine enough for short trips in the car when closed, but I would keep the top open for longer road-trips. The heavy-weave fabric and rubberized mesh are great for longevity (and claws!). The portability of a collapsible frame and easy opening is also great for travel. The sand color is also lovely and will not get as hot as darker colors during summer. *** I do wish the securing clips for the top were METAL, as I can see the plastic wearing down or warping over time until it no longer stays shut. ... show more

I bought this carrier thinking I would use it to bring my new puppy home and thought I wouldn’t get much use out of it.. Boy was I wrong. This carrier has become my puppy’s safe space. She loves it. I do too. So easy to close her in, strap to the seatbelts, take in and out of the car. Its one fault has been mentioned by other reviewers and that is, it lacks a secure way to keep the lid open. I’ve learned to tuck the middle rib under the handle but it can easily be knocked down by a curious pup. It hasn’t been a big problem as of yet. We get so many compliments on it every-time we go anywhere. I have the smallest size for a toy dog expected to be 10lbs. She’s still small but I see this carrier being hers even when grown. I never leave reviews, but I had to in this case because I LOVE this product & so do my animals. It arrived exactly when I was told it would. It was packaged well. There was no assembly necessary, just some unfolding & Velcro straps, which the directions clearly explained. It could stand to have a more cushiony pad at the bottom, but I just added a small fleece blanket. It is well built & sturdy & handled my 14 pound cat, although I certainly wouldn't suggest putting anyone larger than that in it as he didn't have a lot of room. I sat it in my living room so my cats could get used to it & they immediately took turns jumping in it to hang out. In fact, the day after I got it I had to take a cat to the vet & I had a hard time getting one cat out of it so I could put the other one in. It works well in the car & it's easy to seatbelt it in. Everyone at the vet's office thought it was amazing. I've seen some reviews that say that they can't get the hood to stay up, & I totally understand why they would say that, but I discovered that if you take the back folds of the hood & tuck them under the handle it keeps the hood from sliding down. I have 3 cats & 1 small dog, so I definitely see more of these in my future. I HIGHLY recommend it. I cannot imagine anyone not loving this carrier! ... show more

It looks sturdy, but appears much smaller than I thought it would be. I wish it had a better cushion on the bottom of the carrier. It is a thin piece of fabric that does not feel comfortable because you have the 2 wire stands on the bottom of the carrier, so my cat will be trying to sit or lay and feel those.
