The media could not be loaded. With modifications, this is an excellent dog ramp. Because it had one of the best prices for the size and weight, I decided to give it a shot. My dog is a Corgi/Golden Retriever mix -- cute face, chubby body, short legs. He's approaching 13-14 years and he can no longer jump up into the car seat. Modifications: -- The handles are very strong, but they pulled right out of the screw holes. I changed out to larger wood screws with big washers. At first, the screws just ripped out from the fabric handle, so I tightly wrapped the ends in duct tape, then screwed them into the ramp side (with the washers). -- The grippy surface is only grippy for human sneakers, not dogs! My dog could never get a good grip on this and slipped easily. Also, I don't think dogs find it even remotely comfortable. I found some spare outdoor carpet pieces I had around the house and they fit perfectly. (They may have been carpet samples or pieces for large steps.) Heavy duty double-stick tape just peeled right off with the ramp sitting inside the car on a hot summer day. I screwed the carpet on at the very corners and it's held for over a year. That's what I changed and now the ramp is awesome! The ramp has been used many, many times as i bring my buddy with me almost everywhere I go. At first, my knucklehead kept trying to jump up on the ramp from the side. I had to stand at the side to prevent this, while bribing him with treats set on the ramp. After 2-3 tries, he got the hint. Sometimes he still likes to try to jump up the side, but that is now rare. As you can see from the video, it's become his routine and he never hesitates. If you're comfortable modifying it like I suggested, this may be the best ramp available, especially for the price. If not, I do not recommend this as the surface is terrible and the handles will tear out after just a few uses. But with modifications, I've been using this or over a year and it's as good as new. And my dog loves it and now patiently waits for me to put it up in the car.

I went for this anyway despite the bad reviews because the price seemed right and the 3/4 star reviews seemed happy enough. It was a terrible mistake: 1. Not only do the legs not lock in place, they literally fell off (yes I used the “locking” mechanism - it just doesn’t work). 2. The legs fell off while my dog was standing on it. She’s terrified of it now and tried jumping in the car to avoid having to get back on it (she’s too old to jump in, 13 years old 55lb) and she fell. I had to pick her up and put her in. She has tumors on her stomach which I didn’t want to hurt, but there was no way I could let her try to jump in again. While I was lifting her into the car, a gust of wind blew the ramp sideways. It’s so light and flimsy. 3. The carabiner included broke the first time I tried to connect it. I had to use one of my own. I doubt the included carabiner would have held during that gust of wind. I got another person to try the ramp/secure the legs just in case it was just user error. No, it’s just a bad design and cheaply made. They try to get you to troubleshoot it before returning but the trouble is the product. I can’t think of a single good thing to say about it.

The functionality of this is excellent! It folds and unfolds easily, and has a hook to secure it closed. There’s a handle on each side, which folded makes it super easy to carry, and when open all allows, you to either use those handles to secure it such as to stair railings, and to Adjust and maneuver it on your vehicle. We are not using it for a vehicle but as a miniature dog ramp for our front stairs. They are a gentle slope, but the stairs themselves are taller than the dog and she’s getting old… I found it looks extremely sturdy and weather resistant because I can’t see any real parts that would cause a problem! If your stairs are very steep or this needs to stay a very long space like from the ground to a tailgate, it has extendable legs in the center that give extra support. It comes with two black straps with carabiners that can be used to attach the dog ramp to the latch system! We use those to attach to our stair railing and it feels very secure! It’s lightweight to move but heavy enough that when it is on the stairs, it doesn’t move around when my dog walks up and down., The sturdy build of it and the nonslip coating. I love the best! It’s a pretty rough surface and gives all season all tread for your dog. Mine seems to like it! My dog went out today and it’s raining and she use the ramp with no problem. My only feedback for the company is I wish the slip cover the entire ramp, it currently does not cover the landing or the curve at the top. My dog is so tiny. It’s kind of a big step for her only 3 pounds. She tries to jump it thinking it’s slick. Don’t may be to her. I think I will just get some nonslip outdoor stair treads and cut them to fit and put on there but overall I definitely like this ramp!

I have a 95+ pound black lab who I like to take places in my 4 door Jeep Wrangler. When he was a puppy I could lift him into the Jeep but now that he is full grown, he is heavy and lifting him can be awkward. We had to work with him a bit to get him comfortable and show him how the ramp worked but he figured it out quickly. This ramp will not set right to load him through the passenger side doors but it is a great way for my boy to get in by the back of the Jeep. It's slip resistant, it is sturdy, it's not too steep, the design is perfect and the size works great. After I load him into the back, I easily fold and load the ramp into the Jeep. This ramp would work great for a car or truck, as well. The price is reasonable and it's a great product.
