I have purchased a mattress every two years, thinking that I needed a firmer mattress for back pain. It turns out I needed a softer mattress instead. I slept on a similar topper during a vacation and slept so much better than at home. I purchased this one based on the positive reviews. I'll list the cons first: It smells strongly. It is Certipure-certified, but I don't really know what that means. If you have sensitive skin or sinus issues, I would probably discourage purchasing this one. I did awaken with a stuffy nose for several days after putting it on my bed. The problem is that you are going to experience a smell with almost any memory foam item, so you might as well get lavender. It sticks around as well, so if you want to air it out, you need to plan for about a week to do so. Second, for men, lavender and its fragrance has been reported to be an endocrine disruptor, increasing estrogen. Men might want to be cautious about this since you spend a third of your day in bed. With that out of the way, I highly recommend this topper; my back and hips feel so much better. It also makes my bed much cozier. It doesn't make my bed markedly hotter, but it is definitely warm. If you are a wiser-age woman who sleeps hot, you might want to skip this one.

Queen mattress needed help. This is cool technology, does help aging hips and shoulders with pain relief, lavender scented but not over powering. Discovered my mattress does have a flaw. I do have another mattress that was too firm, I will be exchanging this one for the other using the foam comfort 2" pad ( my bad mattress will be delivered to our Spring Clean Up EVENT.

We've only had this for a few weeks so I can't speak to the longevity but so far so good. We purchased it for my guest bed which my nephew is sleeping on while staying with us while in college. He was complaining about the hard mattress and this instantly made it so much more comfortable for him. I was happy to pay a lot less than the big name brand pads. I laid on it myself and you can definitely tell a difference. You just melt right into the bed.

Purchased this matress topper for myself when I was 7 months pregnant due to hip pain with my mattress. It arrived in a box, vacuum sealed of course, the directions said allow for 24-72 hours to completely fluff up. It only took about 3, it didn't have a smell. It does fit a queen bed but for me it was way too soft, I tried it for about a week before having to look for something else. It conformed to the matress and it was so soft it was difficult for me to get out of.
