I’ve been running the Mars Hydro dehumidifier in my grow space and honestly, it’s been a solid addition to the setup. First off, it’s super easy to use. The LCD display makes everything straightforward—you can quickly check humidity levels, adjust settings, and monitor what’s going on without guessing. That’s a huge plus, especially if you’re trying to dial in your environment. Another thing that stood out right away is how quiet it is. Even running in a tent or small room, it doesn’t add a bunch of noise, which is clutch if you’ve got fans, lights, and everything else already going.     • Hold mode is relative, I guess.
It does not "Hold" humidity. It lets it spike 10 above the target humidity before turning on. I live in a high humidity area. So It rapidly reduces the humidity to my target, turns off, and the Humidity rapidly increases 10 points before turning on. This rapid change back and forth is not healthy for the plants. When it says hold you would think within a few points of your target, not 10 above. ... show more

Omg I had no idea it would pull so much water from my grow. The first few days it was maxing out its tank in 12-18 hrs. Now as you can see I lifted it off ground and have it drain into a 5 gal. Bucket. Is it effective yes, is it quiet yes but I do have it in a room with computers running 24/7. I have two entire mars hydro grow systems. Fully automated this thing is great. ... show more

    • Solid unit but not perfect.
I’ve been running this unit 24/7 for nearly two months now, and it has performed reliably the entire time without missing a beat. It has done an excellent job keeping my grow tent environment stable and consistent. Setup was straightforward, the instructions were easy to follow, and once everything was connected, it was mostly a “set it and forget it” experience. Just run your drain line, dial in your settings, and let it work. Performance-wise, it definitely gets the job done. The collection tank fills about every half day in my setup, which is expected considering the amount of moisture being pulled from the air. One thing to note is that this unit does add noticeable heat to the room/tent, so make sure your environment is prepared for the additional temperature increase. My main complaints are related more to fit and finish than actual performance. The included drain hose did not fit the drain port correctly out of the box. I ended up filing down the inside of the hose slightly so it would seat properly while still maintaining a tight fit. I currently keep a backup hose on hand just in case. Another small issue is with the duct connections. The hard plastic ducts themselves are fine and feel durable, but I noticed some air leakage around the fittings on the dehumidifier. I’ll likely use HVAC tape or a similar sealing solution to correct this. The included casters are convenient for moving the unit around, though I do wish the wheels either had locks or could be removed entirely for a more stationary setup. One additional observation: the exhaust vents through the top while the intake pulls from the back. Personally, I think airflow efficiency could be improved if that configuration were reversed. Overall, despite a few quality-control and design quirks, this has been a solid and dependable dehumidifier that has handled continuous operation extremely well. ... show more
