Was looking around at a number of different anchor kits that included anchor, rope, and chain. This was by far the best value. Solid metal anchor that came in a 4.4kg or right around 10lbs. The only complaint I have is the rope that comes with the kit is cheap, and I can tell after using the anchor only a few time that the rope is going to need to be replaced at some point down the rode (pun intended). However, for the price, I think this is what you have to expect, and when it's time for a new rope I'll probably just pick one up from a local store that sells rope for 20 bucks, and even then this is still a great value. Some additional information that others might find helpful.... I have a 21 foot cuddy cabin that I estimate weighs 4,000 lbs when fully loaded with fuel, gear, and guests. I boat in fresh water lakes with mainly mucky or sandy bottoms, and tide isn't really a concern. The few times I've utilized this anchor it has worked great holding the boat, and almost grabbing immediately. One of the times was in extremely rough conditions and the boat didn't move a foot. Overall, I would recommend this anchor to anyone.

If you're looking for a floating anchor, this is not going to work. Galvanizing is a little rough, but hey, it's going to be at the bottom of a lake most of the time so I don't think the fish will mind. Kit includes everything that you will normally need to use (rope, chain and anchor) right out of the box.

I have a Yamaha Jet Boat 19 SX190 with an anchor locker that is small. This was too large to fit in it but works so well that I'm storing it under one of the front seats. Would love it if the wide horizontal bar ends were rounded though. The bar ends edges scratch and I ended up fitting them with rubber caps.

Bought this as a replacement for the front anchor on my 23' Four Winns cuddy. I've used it several times now in all different types of wind and tidal flow conditions and it seems to be holding the boat just fine. The only two small complaints I have is that the length of the stock is a bit narrower than my old anchor so it doesn't rest on top of the stock notches in my anchor compartment very well (slips off and falls to the bottom), and the 98" line that comes with it isn't the best ( a little too stretchy) but I'm not complaining because no one could beat this price by a mile. West Marine wanted three times the price for similar kit.

Great value for the price this fit my 1999 232 Baja Islander’s anchor locker perfectly. I did trim the long bar down some that attaches to the chain but that was super easy. Used it for the first time this last weekend and this thing grabs.

I just bought a new 20.8 ' Avalon Venture Tri-Pontoon boat. When the bimini top is up the boat really gets pushed around if the wind is blowing. My old smaller anchor wouldn't hold the new Pontoon boat in place. This anchor is heavier, but that is OK because it works. Nothing like sitting comfortably on the lake with a breeze knowing your boat is safely anchored. I wish they supplied a wheel to keep the extra line.

Being a boater for the past 5 years - I have to admit that I have lost a few anchors over this time into the drink and dreaded going back into W.M. to repurchase yet another anchor. Found this on Amazon and not only did i receive a quality anchor but also 98' of braided rope and 6' of heavy gauge chain. This entire package would have been 250+ at W.M.
