I was really impressed with this anchor and loved its heavy duty construction, the way it folded up, and because it was a sleek piece of kit that would be easy to stow and deploy on my Pelican Bassraider 10E boat. The problem with this anchor is that it is too good at anchoring. I was in 15-20ft of water and deployed the anchor. It immediately grabbed onto something at the bottom and even though the wind was blowing hard, the boat was staying anchored. I went to pull up anchor and it was stuck. So stuck that I ended up losing it the very first time I tried it. It was like throwing $30.00 away into the lake. The hooks got stuck on a submerged log and they actually dug into the log and would not release. This anchor would be decent on a kayak or raft on a river where you can reach down 3-4 ft and grab it. Otherwise, you will quickly lose this anchor like I did. A round design with holes in in would be much more effective than this folded hook design, which will easily get caught up. ... show more
