  • Great Machine.

Great machine! All parts detach for thorough cleaning. Easy dispensing of drinks.

  • Bought two, did a week long festival, 400+ drinks served, very happy!
Style: Bali Concoction Maker
Was going to give four stars, but I remembered that this unit is not a commercial grade machine, and it states as much multiple times in the literature. So I gave five stars. :) I bought two of these machines for a festival I was serving refreshments at for eight days in a row (Saturday to Saturday) in my home town. I did strawberry daiquiris and pina colada drinks, non-alcoholic. Due to the intense heat (around 90 degrees each day) the frozen drinks sold very well. I blended no less than 400 drinks with these two machines during that long week. On the last day of the festival, one of the machines stopped blending. I didn't know that the switch that detected the pitcher was in place had somehow gotten dislodged from it's position. I finished the festival using the single machine, but with two pitchers. It really didn't slow me down, and I was able to keep up with orders. So, all in all... I took in more than 5 times what I paid for the machines; they paid for themselves very easily. And we (my staff and I) did not go easy on these two Bali machines. They got handled a bit rough in the quick pace of servinng customers. The machine that had stopped blending somehow corrected itself when I got them back home, into my kitchen. I cannot fault the machine for that glitch, these are not marketed as commercial equipment. And like I said we didn't go easy on them. Some have mentioned in reviews to "save your money and just get a good blender." Maybe that's good advice, but I would disagree. The "theatrics" of these Margaritaville machines in action draw a LOT of positive attention from party or festival goers. Part of the experience of getting a frozen concoction is watching the machine do its glorious thing. :) If you are considering one of these for home parties, I think you'll be very pleased, and it will last for many years. Note: Nearly all of the negative reviews mentioning broken parts are from more than three years ago. It seems that the quality control of the parts has been upgraded for better reliability. ... show more

  • The talk of the party
Style: Bali Concoction Maker
For our Cinco de Mayo party we needed an easy way to mix up a big batch of frozen margaritas. This concoction maker was “The Talk of The Party”. The blender is easy to use, makes icy drinks, (margaritas, mud slides, non-alcoholic drinks, and more with ease). We opted for the Margaritaville Bali which made it easy for guest to serve themselves and easy for you the “bartender “ to keep the drinks flowing. The 60 ounce pitcher is a perfect size and the self-dispersing lever have your guests keep coming back for more. The ice shoot holds plenty of ice for several pitchers of your favorite concoction so no need to keep filling with ice. Create your own recipe and let the machine do its magic. Yes it is expensive, but the fun you and your guest have makes it all worthwhile. It would probably be cheaper to hire a bartender but why have guest wait for a drink when they can get in on the fun of pouring at will. Clean up is easy, you always have a perfectly blended drink, and your friends will definitely make the concoction maker “The Talk of the Party” ... show more

  • Someone's returning these with dull blades
Style: Bali Concoction Maker
So here's the deal. We bought one of these after seeing one in action at a party. That one was amazing, and there are some good reviews on here, so we knew these CAN work well. We got our first one and it would only shave a very small amount of ice leaving zero actual ice in the drinks. It basically just cooled and watered down the liquid slightly. The blade seemed very dull. We ordered another one and returned the first and it was very slightly better, but still a very dull blade and made watery drinks with very little ice (but actually a little). I ordered a third one from a different physical store and there first thing I checked was the blade. It was razor sharp! It worked like a champ and makes excellent drinks. Moral of the story is that I'm pretty sure people are buying these here because of the easy free returns and they're taking the blades and returning them with dull blades. If you get one that makes really watery drinks, either sharpen the blade or return it. It does work well with a sharp blade, but I'm giving 1 star here to encourage people to buy it elsewhere. You shouldn't have to buy 3 of something to get one that works. ... show more

  • Great Machine, But Potential Design Flaw
Style: Bali Concoction Maker
I just had my second unit break 5 days out of warranty. I got the first one replaced, but not this one. I really love this machine when it is working, but it just doesn't last. Both problems were electrical. The first one shorted out all together. The second unit quit blending so now I only have an expensive ice shaver. Of course it was 5 days out of warranty. You cannot get service or parts so I will be tearing it apart on my own to see if I can fix it. I cannot see getting a third unit. UPDATE #1 It appears to be a design flaw. I disassembled the entire machine and found the culprit. The black wires inside the ice chute must have gotten severed by the frequent rotation of the ice chute to add the drink ingredients. See circled area in photo. Now on to trying to repair the wires and reassemble the machine! UPDATE #2 (July 2023) I spliced the wire back together and made it a little longer. I tucked the wire in better to protect it from pinching again. Somehow I was able to re-assemble the machine and it has been working great for a year now. If you need to make this repair it is not too difficult. You just need to take a couple parts off the top. We have many pool parties so it gets a lot of use. I even bought another one on elsewhere because it was half price and never used. I modified the drink recipes to my liking. I find the pina coladas and flavored margaritas too sweet. Try adding a splash of dark rum to the pina colada and a couple ounces of sour mix to the margaritas. ... show more
