  • Worth more than what youre paying for it.
At first I was tentative to buy this rack without too many reviews. However the ones that were here were all positive, and the price was right so I went ahead. I'm so glad that I did. You will not find a power rack with this many options (cable pulley, dip bars, multiple pull up options) for a cheaper price. Here are the pros and cons imo. Pros: very solid Very cheap Not too big (about 7ft tall) Fits olympic 7' bar perfectly for me Cable pulley (not perfect but definitely decent) Dip bars Good pull up bars Cons: 1. The cable pulley can only be used from the bottom and the top position. In other words, its not adjustable like the high end ones you find in gyms. But after you put some wd40 on the rails and put some weight on it, the pulley does move fairly smoothly. Not as smoothly as commercial gyms $1000+ cables but better than others ive tried previously. 2. There is no safety bars that would often be including with standard square box squat racks. So if you have to bail out of a squat or something, you have to dump the bar off your back if you cant get the bar back up to rack it. 3. Place included to put dumbells and weight plates on kind of sucks. Its usable, but id rather just keep the plates leaning against the walls or the sides of the rack. I put my 10s 5s and 2.5s on them along with cable attachment (v bar, single handle, and ankle attachment included) but other than that i keep the heavier plates off of them. Not because theyre flimsy or anything just because of convenience. Obviously the adjustable bench needs to be bought separately along with the weight bar and weights. But thats standard for something like this. Overrall I think this is a great buy for someone looking to squat, bench, row, deadlift, and basically do anthing a normal box could help you do in a gym, but be able to stay in your own home. I never write reviews on products I buy (mostly out of laziness honestly) but I thought this product deserved it. Especially for that price. ... show more

  • Effective and cheap
Assembly and Stability- It was easy to do with two people. The instruction manual was similar to an Ikea manual but was still easy to follow. When tightening the bolts at the end some of them did strip but that could have been because of the tools I was using. There are no stability issues. Pull up bar- It has a variety of grip options including wide grip, close grip and chin up. I attached a trx to it with a ton of zip ties and its the perfect location for it. The only complaint I have is that the perforations on the bar do nothing to help with comfort. Pulley system- Definitely not a commercial pulley but it serves its purpose. I wish it was a swivel pulley, however using multiple chains to extend it helps. If you have the space I would turn it around. Kickbacks are pretty hard to do because the lower pulley isn't stationary. Overall its smooth and the attachments included were a plus. Storage- love it and is a really good feature. It's not really wide enough for dumbbells bigger than 10lbs. Squats and bench press- I have no complaints the only thing missing are safety catches. Overall, for $300 it was a really good purchase and I am able to do the majority of the exercises I could do in the gym. I like how small and compact it is but I'm also only 5'3 and 130lbs so I can see how it would feel crowded for some. ... show more

  • Overall good; Non-adjustable dip bars; can't do lat pull-down, no captain chair capability, no safety/catch bars
I was really looking forward to this set since it looked like I could do a variety of movements without buying too much extra equipment. Overall Overall, I like this set a lot, hence the 4 stars, but I'm just going to focus on what I don't like. My biggest disappointment was the fact that the cable is not positioned for lat pull-downs as I thought it would be. I would either have to kneel while doing them, or sit awkwardly on my bench just a few inches away from the frame and cable. Either way, even if I had accepted either of these awkward scenarios, the maximum weight that I would have been able to do would be restricted by my own body weight, and the bottom attachment clip/ring would be passing right by my face as I did the rep. I worked around this by buying a weight belt and doing weighted pull-ups instead. If you only need something with less resistance, you might be OK with the awkwardness of doing a lat pull-down on this set. You will still need to buy a lat pull-down bar, however; the included bar is only about 18" wide, thus not suitable for that move. Next are the dip bars. They are basically useless for tricep dips because the bars are just too far apart and can't be turned inward like you might have seen on the equipment at the gym. They might be OK for chest dips, but I won't be using them for that either because as soon as I did 1 rep I felt an extreme amount of force on my sternum and stopped as a friend told me he cracked his sternum with that move. I'll be substituting dumbbell presses for chest dips and skull crushers for tricep dips. That brings me to my final gripe; the lack of an ability to do captain's chair leg raises. Had they made the dip bars removable (they are bolted in place on this product), it would have created an opportunity to attach captain's chair leg raise bars to the frame, but sadly, this is not an option. Fortunately, I can still use the dip bars or the pull-up bars to do leg raises; they're just not as comfortable as the captain's chair version. The last thing I would have liked to see added are extra long safety/catch bars for squats and bench presses. I would up buying a separate set of safety stands. Other than these limitations, everything else about this product is pretty solid, and I think it is still a solid value. ... show more
