Description

Dwarf Sagittaria Subulata is often referred to as Dwarf sag. Are you looking for an easy to grow carpeting plant? Look no further! Dwarf Sagittaria are the perfect easy to grow carpet plants for your aquarium. These plants may initially melt back some, they just need time to grow and establish in your tank. Keep in mind, if you want plants to grow tight and low along the bottom (like a carpet) then you want to provide good lighting. In general, the stronger the light, the more bushy/compact plants will grow since they aren't having to reach for the light. Dwarf sag may melt back some initially, the plants will quickly grow back provided you have a good setup for plant growth and meet their needs. Dwarf sag are heavy root feeders, so if you want to see the fastest possible growth, provide nutrients for the plants in the form of root tabs. This is not a requirement for successful plant growth but rather a way to get your plants to grow faster.

Plants arrived in good condition, still moist while in transit, planted them in my plant tank and they didnt seem to grow much at first, but then took off sending out multiple runners. I did use plant tabs to help them grow faster but I dont think I would have really needed the plant food. These dont get tall like some of the other live plants I have but they do fill in an area at the bottom of the tank quickly. Plants seem to be tolerant of low to medium light conditions ... show more

Very happy with this product - it was shipped in excellent packaging, and the plant is in great condition right out of the gate. It's clear they had a high focus on customer service and satisfaction. Will be a returning customer for sure. I'd recommend the B2G1 offer be taken, I found them a little difficult to plant just due to their size, and broke a few. I purchased 10 Dwarf Sagittaria and they all arrived with the leaves cut almost to the base and the roots sheered off as well. Even with perfect lighting and CO2 they had little hope of surviving. There is no reason to crop the leaves nore the roots to this extent. Their photos are beyond deceiving. Their description of 2-3 inches and their description do not say they will be stubs cut to that length. ... show more

i was skeptical due to the price but once they arrived, they actually set in the box for another day until i was able to get them into my tank, once in they started to show green leaves after the first 2 days, they are thriving well after a week or so. make sure your tank parameters are good and that didn't kill the plants BEFORE leaving a review so we don't smear a supplier for nothing. ... show more

How a company handles things when things go wrong says a lot about who they are. I have ordered several hundred dollars worth of plants from Marcus Fish Tanks, and I have yet to receive an order at the time promised. When I contacted Marcus Fish Tanks about my most recent order, I was told it must be delayed by USPS and that I would need to wait 3 more days. After those three days, I was again assured it was lost by USPS and that it would need another 3-5 business days. After day 3 of receiving no updates I again reached out to only receive replies between 11pm and 2am... where I was told they would FINALLY explore it in more detail after I made it clear I wanted a refund. Mind you at this point we were 20 days from the date the order had allegedly shipped. Two days later, their customer support informed me the order was never shipped, they needed more time, which frankly would have been PERFECTLY fine if that had been communicated with me at literally any point. The problem is when you promise is not in line with the expectations you set for the customer, it's on you to inform the customer that their expectations need to change. Further, because of the previous statements made buy their customer support, I can't even be sure if they were being honest at this point or not. My plants did arrive, and they were fortunately alive and mysteriously less generous than previous orders have been. Simply put I won't be purchasing products from this company again and I hope they take this seriously because they have a generally good product but that doesn't make up for terrible customer service. ... show more
