There are no curling edges or tripping hazards. It looks so nice in my kitchen. I liked it so much I bought a matching rectangle rug for my laundry room. This review is for these rugs. In general as I purchased a room size rug and 3 throw rugs. The colors and pattern were exactly what I had been looking for. I also like the fact they are rubber backed and don’t slide. However, after using them now for several months the fibers are starting to pull as you can see in the one photo. I took a picture of a corner area of the rug that doesn’t get foot traffic and you can also see how the pattern is clear and the fibers aren’t pulled. The 3 matching throw rugs are doing the same thing. In addition to this the edge of the throw rugs are curling up and we trip on them all the time which is very dangerous. I am very disappointed in the quality of the rugs. Despite the points I liked about them, I am sorry I wasted the money and can not recommend these rugs. ... show more

I purchased this rug to go alongside my bed. We have laminate floors and the house is old and heavily insulated so the floors can be chilly in the morning during the winter. This rug is both comfortable and attractive. The thickness is just perfect for our use and the rubber backing is great on the hardwood floors to keep it from slipping. If you have an area in front of a door where there’s not much room for a rug, this will work. Otherwise, this rug is super thin. It has withstood several washes though. Maples rugs in general are good and made in America, which is why I buy them.
