The sound quality is good, however, on my computer at full gain I still had to install Equalizer APO software to intercept the microphone output and boost it to get a decent level in OBS Studio. After having done that it works well. Some of my other Microphones like the LM-102 Lavalier microphone does not need that. I do have some other microphones and they also needed the equalizer software so this is not unique on my PC at least. So I gave it only 4 stars because of this but for the price I think it is not a bad purchase.

Had to turn gain and volume to max on computer to get les than half the volume of the built in mic on my Logitech webcam. Sound "Quality" is fair, but to get any real use I'd have to be within 2 to 3 inches of the mic, I find that unacceptable. I am returning it ASAP.

I’ll keep this one short and to the point. I like this mic, I’ve been testing and using microphones for years now and I can definitely say this one does sound pretty damn good. The mic is alarmingly light but that’s to be expected when it’s a basic USB condenser microphone made out of plastic with a tiny bit of aluminum. Where the PM471TS falls behind, however, is in volume. I had my settings up to 100% in my OS and the gain knob was set to maximum as well, but with the included stand it’s extremely difficult to hear the speaker well when at a normal sitting position on a desk. I have had other USB mics that are perfectly capable of capturing my voice from a sitting distance but the PM471TS falls behind. If you are looking into getting a microphone arm, then this mic performs great! When in close proximity to the speaker, the microphone is able to capture a very wide dynamic range of sounds from the speaker’s voice, and this makes it fantastic for voice work, there isn’t even much noise either, and not anything you can’t easily fix with a noise gate and/or noise suppression. If you are willing to put this mic on an arm or are willing to sit in an awkward position to use the stock stand, then I can wholeheartedly recommend something like this to you.

The sound quality of this microphone is definitely superior to your typical headphone or webcam mic. It also does reduce background noise and favors sounds from nearby. The construction is of reasonable quality although it will need to be handled with some care due to the rubber straps that suspend the mic. The gain adjustment dial is convenient. I don't usually want to use self monitoring, but if you do the mic allows you to plug in your headset. There is no software and everything works plug and play. Mics have a wide range of prices but if you are looking for a desktop mic that is a cut above the typical mics included with headsets or webcams, this would be a decent place to start.

I really love this condenser mic. First, I recorded my voice both with my laptop mic and this condenser mic. This condenser mic filters wind sound and delivers rich and bold sound. It would be a great mic for podcasts and singing. Second, it catches voices from a far distance. I had a Zoom meeting with a group in a big hall. My laptop mic may catch voices within 5~6 feet, but this mic within more than 20 feet. It catches all the voices in a big hall and the people on Zoom could hear people far from the mic. It is fantastic mic for Zoom as well.

The mic works ok if you are really close to it. I'm not sure that the gain was actually working to help the voice pick-up. I was really looking for something that I could sit back a little and talk normally.

This worked straight away on Windows 11 and Linux (Manjaro). The mic was easy to setup and once the gain was adjusted the voice volume and quality were excellent. With the size of the stand, I would recommend putting this mic on an arm for better placement but am otherwise very pleased.
