This tool works well for cleaning copper wires. It's made of durable materials and is easy to operate. I followed the instructions from the video to adjust its height. So far I've used the manual handle and haven't tried using a power drill with it yet. The handle works very well, and the blades inside feel sharp and smooth when cutting the copper wire surface, making the task effortless. Compared to manually cutting the wire in a circular motion and then stripping the insulation to extract the copper, this tool is much more efficient and less strenuous. It doesn't damage the copper inside, improving work efficiency. The tool's overall construction is metal, while the handle is plastic. Using the anti-slip gloves that come with the set increases the friction making the process even easier.

The media could not be loaded. My dad is a retired contractor who saved everything that he could when he left a job site. Now that he's retired, we are cleaning up some of the stuff that he collected. We found a bunch of old coils of wire and I decided to purchase a wire stripper so that I can recycle the wires instead of throwing it into the local dump. The GEEKBEE Manual Wire Stripper Machine is a sturdy machine with a metal frame that seems very rugged. It can be clamped down to a table and run manually with a plastic handle or by an electric drill to make the job go faster. A single knob at the top easily adjusts for the diameter of the wire and makes quick work of removing the sleeve from the wires. The machine was easy to use and worked well for me. I was able to get through a lot of the wires in just an afternoon. I'll be taking that copper to the local recycling center that takes them. I loved that this thing wasn't too expensive, which is what convinced me that taking that extra effort to recycle the wires was worth the price.

I work in the scrap industry and know the many ways to strip wire. This is by far the easiest method. I wish I had found it sooner. It was so easy to use and it was a great purchase! There have been no malfunctions!

I do remodeling and will end up with a bundle of house wire now and then and some other types of smaller stuff. So far I've done 14 and 12 awg solid and stranded and extension cord and lamp cord down to 18 awg. Just using the hand crank was pretty productive. You can run the fully jacketed 12 or 14-2 romex through it just to get the jacket off, but it may be just as fast or faster to simply yank the ground wire through the jacket. Even faster if you make a stripping block using a utility blade. It works great on stranded, but when you get to the smaller finer stuff be careful not to cut too deep as the cutting wheel will cut through the strands and you'll have a mess that is not worth your time or the copper you recover. I think it would benefit from some type of guide on the exit side to keep the wire inline with the cutter as it sometimes deviates on smaller gauge wire. The plastic frame is sturdy but not solid. I would have liked to see a more substantial base with four mounting holes instead of two. While this kind of tool is new to me, the concept and process is simple and yet I'm already seeing areas of improvement. If you are scrapping for a living or doing high production wire stripping, then this tool is not for you. If you are just an average guy like me stripping for dollars (hahahah), then this is a great tool to have in the shop so you can just "whip it out." ;)

Have used this for the last couple days, larger wire does not go thru so well. Thinner wire comes out a mess if you’re not careful. I’m constantly adjusting the height of the blade while trying to feed the wire through. I stripped a few strands of wire and constantly had to adjust the blade height while feeding. The hand crank stopped working , then i adjusted, it worked great for about 10 more maybe 5 feet pieces and now it will not feed the wire. Total wire stripped was maybe half pound. I made better time with a razor knife.

Not only is this stripper versatile but it's also very durable and well designed. The whole unit is lightweight which has made this really easy to transport. It does have a hand crank which is really easy to use. However, I have also been able to attach my drill to make it a lot easier when having to strip a lot more wire in a short amount of time. When I'm not having to strip a lot, the hand crank is a lot more convenient to use. The blade on this stripper is sharp but not sharp enough it damages the wires inside. I always get a cleaner and faster cut with this stripper. What's also a great feature is that I can adjust this to do all different sizes of wiring too. This is a pretty straightforward stripper that doesn't require me to have to set up it's own work station. I can carry it with me from one spot to the other. Super easy to use with great safety features to prevent me or anyone using this from cutting themselves.
