The duck head is cheap plastic making it difficult to use without fear of breaking it. It kinda works but I'm guessing not for long.

Got this to augment my next to useless Harbor Freight tire changer. I am pleasantly surprised by how much this improves the efficacy of that formerly useless thing that sat in the corner. No appreciable "installation" to speak of, just have to tighten two nuts and two thumbscrews to assemble it, then it slips on over the existing unit. Made of the same durable steel as the tire changer, painted the same color so it fits right in. Works well, I was finally was able to dismount and mount a tire with this thing after years of having it staring at me. Gives me a good excuse to finally weld up the sides of the bead breaker so that doesn't fold again now that I can finally use it. Good deal!

I ordered this to use with my HF manual tire changer. The whole kit is easy to assemble and the operation is pretty straight forward. The welds are not pretty, by any means. The materials are kind of thin and sloppy looking. We used it for the first time today. My son needed some tires changed on his pickup truck. The truck had 2 different brands of tires on 18 inch aluminum wheels(265 65 R18). The first tires weren't too bad to remove, they were a cheap off brand of tires, they came off with normal effort. The tool didn't damage the wheel. The second set of tires was a mid grade brand of tires with stiffer sidewalls. The tool got stuck about 1/3 around the wheel, even with soapy watervfor lube. I was worried the duck head was going to break, as it was bending a lot. We ended up using tire irons on both of the better branded tires. The tool did work for installation of the new tires. But my son was able to put one of the tires on without any tools. All that said, does it work? Well, yes it does work. Are there easier ways to dismount and mount tires? Yup, for sure. We didn't break it, at least not this time. Will it break? Probably, likely in the future. We found it's limit for sure, probably good for small car tires. Light truck tires are definitely too much. They give you an extra duck head, good thing, I will probably need it. It also destroys the powder coating in the HF changers hold down. I've had that for 4 years. Did many times and never scratched it. Now the coating is completely vn̈

I finally got the corresponding harbor freight part to use this tire changer, and it makes mounting tires SIGNIFICANTLY easier. It's made of high strength steel, and its not overly huge or bulky, and it makes installing tires a breeze compared to using the spoons. Functionally, it's a must have for me now.

Does not fit a Harbor freight tire changer. For this reason i was not able to properly use the item but I have concerns of it abilities to work well. This is a accessory to a tire changer brand not disclosed in the listing. It is not a complete tool to change tires. The inside diameter of the center tube is 55mm the inside diameter of the centering cone is 43mm. I am going to give it 5 stars with some reservations simple because I was not able to properly test it. On truth I think i stick with good old fashion tire spoons

I didn’t understand the point once it arrived. It’s sold as an HF attachable, but in practice it feels flimsy and redundant next to the full Pittsburgh tire changer. Build quality was disappointing (scuffed paint, sloppy tolerances) and the horizontal/vertical slide action isn’t shop durable. If you need the HF platform to use this, there’s no practical reason to buy the kit.

I can't express how convenient and useful this is. If you've ever tried to take a rim off a tire without the proper machinery then you know what I mean. The price is great for the convenience. Comes with easy to follow instructions and assembly is a breeze. Super sturdy and built to last. Can't say enough good things about this tool it even comes with a pair of gloves.
