I don't know why, since I did check the measurements, but I was visualizing something bigger. This could pass for a large purse. The compact size is more streamlined, and it's exactly what I needed to carry the basics like padfolio, wallet, phone etc. for job interviews -and it could also fit a laptop. If that's what you need, you're set - I just wouldn't get this expecting to use it for the gym or a weekend trip. It's not that kind of tote. Another reviewer said the faux pebbled leather texture looked the highest quality, so that's what I chose. I'm grateful for their insight and totally agree. I was nervous it would look super cheapo, given the very low price, but in person it looks much more expensive than it is. (Isn't that fun? I love it when that happens!) The construction quality is fantastic, and despite arriving folded, it doesn't have any creasing. They have a zillion colors and textures so I'm thinking of getting a few more versions. It's an interesting design - narrower at the top but then has a flat bottom with more space. There's also a pocket inside. It comes with a decorative tassel to jazz it up, and a surprisingly cute and versatile strip of scarf they include as an option. This is a nice tote for the price. Arrived quickly, faster than even estimated. I was concerned when I saw it arrived only shipped in a thin transparent plastic wrapping but the bag was not at all damaged. The color and size were just as described by seller. I would recommend this item. The only reason I am not giving this a five star review is because there is a small spot on the bag where it skipped two stitches on one of the handles. ... show more

This was a good buy I love the size I could stand for it to be a little bigger but it actually keeps me in check for not over stuffing my bag because I carry my life in my bags( just in a case) you know:). Just one little discrepancy I notice the straps fall slip down off my shoulders a lot but if you don’t exclusively use one purse/tote everyday until it falls apart than it probably won’t be bothersome, I found a solution for slippery straps is to purchase a strap gripper and that works fine ... show more

This is a great deep bag, but not so large or stiff, making it not feel awkward to carry . Holds a ton! Overall, I'm giving this bag a solid 4 out of 5 stars, but let me break it down for you. First off, let's talk size. Yes, the dimensions are correct, but let's just say I may have underestimated just how much junk I carry around with me on a daily basis. This tote bag is definitely on the smaller side, so if you're a "pack everything but the kitchen sink" kind of person like me, you might want to size up. Now, let's move on to the texture. The product description may say "faux leather," but let me tell you, this bag looks and feels nothing like it. It's more of a hard plasticky faux leather with an odd pattern effect. I got the Apricot New and the color is spot on beautiful. I prefer this texture (like saffiano leather) over the other wrinkly one which I always thought makes the purse look dated. I wanted a neutral tote for a casual day and this was perfect for the price point. Actually great quality. Neat cutting and stitching, good material and I appreciate the soft inside. I originally was thinking I needed beige so that I could wear with cool and warm tones but beige ended up being too light and dull. Apricot gives the most perfect hint of color and subtle warmth to give that pop. I was pleasantly surprised. Trust me, I didn’t want anything too camel , tan or brown to where you felt like it was clashing with other colors you’re wearing.
