Solid Slicer for Frozen Meat & Jerky Prep
I picked up this person to help me with meal prep. It certainly does the job, and this slicer does exactly what it's designed for... nothing more, nothing less. Clean cuts of frozen meat ( it will work with non-frozen, but it does work better with frozen/mostly frozen food). The knob makes it easy to switch between thin slices for jerky and thicker cuts for hot pot or stir-fry. The stainless steel construction feels sturdy, and the non-slip base keeps it stable on the counter during use. It doesn't take up much space, which is great for home kitchens, and cleanup is straightforward since the parts are easy to wipe down. Important note: this is not for cutting through bone and works best with firm, frozen cuts of meat. Soft or unfrozen meat won't slice as cleanly. Overall, it's a practical, affordable tool for anyone who makes jerky, hot pot, or thin-sliced meats at home.

thinly sliced meat
The Manual Frozen Meat Slicer is great for anyone who wants to slice their own meat at home. Easy to assemble, 4 bolts to attach the meat holder to the base, and then a bolt to attach the slicing blade to the setup. The blade is super sharp, and the thickness of each slice is adjusted by two independent finger screws. This is the only issue I have is as I just can't seem to get it perfectly straight, even though no one would probably notice (skill issue, not device issue). Cleanup is super easy as I can just take it apart, wash with warm soapy water, and dry for storage. Pro tip: make sure the meat is almost frozen for easy slicing

Highly UN-recommended food slicer/cutter. Look elsewhere.
**Frankly I do not know why someone went to the trouble to design, engineer, and construct a device of this quality. Nothing is ‘right’ about this device culminating in the fact that it just doesn’t function at all well. **Thin stock, machine bent base is warped: rides on two of four rubber feet. Yes, I can straighten it. **Hardware is a mix of some stainless steel, and some white zinc coated steel. The later will rust and should not be used on items considered ‘food safe’. (Though these items should not come into direct contact with food due to their location on the machine) ** And when you do have to take it apart to clean, be prepared to set aside 20 minutes of your day…just to re-assemble it. **Disassembling it for the first time I discovered washers were misplaced so I had to take the blade completely off. In doing so, I noticed the hollow handle was pressed flatter in the area of the blade offsetting the blades bolt holes. It was this offset in the handle holes (their misalignment) that was used as a means by which to ‘tighten’ the blade bolts. There was no other way provided to secure the blade to the handle for use. The top blade bolt hole was so badly misaligned that I couldn’t get the bolt to line back up until I forced it. Maybe we aren’t supposed to take it apart but how are we to resharpen the blade…not to mention cleaning out the grime that will accumulate. **And the main handle ‘bearing’? No words, please see my picture provided. I will say, the handles action was anything but smooth. **I can go on about the spring loaded ‘food grabber’ handle. It simply doesn’t slide using the handle. Too much torsional energy is applied when pressing on the handle, as far out as the handle is located, which binds it at the attachment point preventing the handle assembly from sliding against the spring pressure. Yes, the spring loaded handle does return with some measure of ease (thanks to the compressed spring), but fine adjustments (slice thickness) are out of the question. **Not recommended at any price.

Good Manual Slicer for Hot Pot Meat
I ordered this meat slicer mainly for slicing meat for hot pot. My family eats hot pot often in the winter, and it’s cheaper to slice the meat at home. I also like that I can choose the meat myself since a lot of pre-sliced hot pot meat is mixed and lower quality. This slicer is inexpensive, doesn’t take up much space, and is pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it. Just make sure the meat is completely frozen. My first try was with meat that was half melted, and it didn’t work at all. When the meat is solid, it slices much better. You just place it in the holder, set the thickness, and slice. It feels stable with the rubber base, and cleaning it isn’t difficult. I did need the manual to assemble it at first, but after a couple of times, it becomes quick to put together and take apart. I may eventually upgrade to an electric slicer for bigger batches, but for now, this manual one works as expected.

Good quality once assembled!
This frozen food slicer I can honestly say, surprised me. It was sharp, and assembly instructions were laid out so-so. The hardest part of assembly turned out to be removing the protective film, that stuff is really attached. A hot air gun made getting it off much easier, a blow drier would have the same effect. I really thought there was no way it was going to turn out to be an excellent slicer. Its like right off you feel it is not worth the coin but after it is assembled, you will think it is a bargain. Just like I do! The meat in the pics was about 75% frozen when I sliced it. As I moved towards the more frozen center, I realized It cut better. So next time I will go straight from the freezer to the slicer! Good deal!

Solid, Practical and Durable
This cutter handles frozen meat efficiently, making home hotpot and BBQ preparation easier. Adjustable thickness is a nice feature. It’s sturdy, though slightly bulky and cleaning can be a bit tedious. A strong, useful and dependable kitchen tool.
