When I recieved the product, I expanded the curtain the check for defects. I had bought 2 curtains, one of them had torn in the left edge. Although the curtain retracts and expands well, I am worried about the durability considering I have a cat at home, so I decided to return both rather than request a replacement. Too bad it didn't work out, appears well made, easy to install and provides good blackout coverage, but unfortunately I have realized this product may be too delicate for homes with young children or pets, such as mine. Good Value for money if you don't have to worry about that. Also size was good, they provide 2 extra rubber blocks if there are any issues with getting a tight fit when installing the tension mechanism. No cutting necessary, and I prefer the tension rod installation version over the version which requires you to only adhese the top of the curtain to the inside upper panel of your window frame, with all the pulling and pushing required, I think it would definitely lose adhesion and fall.

After I installed them I was able to pull them down but they wouldn't go back up. When I took them down to investigate I found the string at the top channel was tangled really badly, hence, that is why they wouldn't go back up. Nice idea, but they dont work.

So far, these blinds are doing great. They were super easy to install. As promised in the product description, they didn’t require any screws or tools to install, except for the little hex key that’s included in the set. They have spring loaded ended on the top that you have to squish into the window frame. The blind I got came with the spring already sprung, although I got the impression from the instructions that it wasn’t supposed to be. There seemed to be no way to “unspring” the tension bar once it was sprung. Even though the tab was already popped out, I was able to jam the blind into the window frame, and it seems to be holding steady. It did scratch up the window frame to put it in, however, so the “no marks” claim may be a stretch. I have a 27 inch window frame, almost exactly, and this is a 27 inch blind. It was pretty much the perfect length to fit into the window frame, although it did come with some plastic spacers you could stick onto the blind to make it up to a 1/2 inch longer. I didn’t need these, so I am not sure how well they worked. The blind goes up and down easily- you pull it down to lower it, and push it up to put it back up. There are no strings for curious animals or children to hurt themselves on. They are very quiet to put up and down, and it doesn’t slam into the bottom window frame when it drops, like the old, corded blinds. They do seem to block the light well, although I can’t tell about heat or cold yet. They are thicker than normal blinds, so that is a good sign, as far as insulation goes. They are all one piece, unlike typical mini blinds, so they seem like they would be easy to clean with a feather duster, although I haven’t had them long enough to see how much they collect dust. I would recommend them, so far, based on the ease of installation, and how quietly and smoothly they go up and down.
