Love the look of the table took some time to put together it has about 36 pieces to put together very sturdy good size very much satisfied the only thing I can say to improvement is the box that is on top of the table is held by metal pegs and it can be lifted up easy mostly because you can place it two different ways on the table but it would have been nice to be able to lock it in place with some cam locks that way you have a semi-permanent way to keep it in place ... show more

Let's start with "ease of assembly". This desk has 38 steps BUT THE FIRST STEP IS LIKE 74 FREAKIN SCREWS. It took 6 hours or more to put together. DO NOT DO THIS ALONE. Have someone else help you read directions while you put it together otherwise you WILL miss steps and screw things up. Next lets address "sturdiness". The feet LOOK great in the pictures. In life they are very thin tin metal and I cut myself MULTIPLE times putting them on. It sucked. The desk still wobbles. It feels solid but I've had it a week and my drawers are already sagging. As for "quality", its only ok. The fan isn't powerful at all. The cut out isn't great because I've got to do my own thing to get a different fan in. I'm going to try a different super powered PC fan to see if I can rig that in spot. One of the biggest issues is the tiny little round hole over the fan. It needs to be a big opening with a grate on it. Right now I'm having to aim for this tiny hole while using my file and it isn't fun. I'm back to using my normal fan on top and hiding it away. Acetone also messes up the surface. It's a nail desk, it should be acetone resistant from day 1, I shouldn't have to hunt down a topper for it so soon. Functionality is hit and miss for me. I hit my knees on this desk at least 6 times a day. The tucked away shelf if shorter than the desk (although the pictures make it look like it's flush to the top ledge} and it has just been the biggest pain. My knees are covered in bruises from this. The doors on the cabinets don't open the right way. I have to move out of the way every time I want to open the door and it's a huge hassle. No way to open the cabinet while you are sitting at your desk without moving completely. The built on shelving unit spacing also sucks. The shelves are all different depths and no way to adjust them. It'd be so easy to make them adjustable and this is a major failure in design. Now, with all the complaints I did give it 4 stars. Why? Because it does function enough. If I knew everything I just told you and then chose to buy it anyways it'd rate 4 stars. The value of the desk would be great if I hadn't spent an extra $80 on shipping. Then I would have felt it deserved 5 stars. But the value in my mind is the price of the desk PLUS the shipping (which is about $380 for me after tax). So, still only 4ish stars. I don't think it's going to last. Top already messed up, cabinet doors so freaking annoying to use while working, shelves can't be adjusted and not superfunctionable to use.....but after putting it together you can't return it. There are so many ways to improve this desk. I'm going to take exact measurements and over the course of the year redesign my desk using real wood, IKEA parts and just build my own for probably half the price. ... show more

Easy to build, ventalation works great hardly any noise. I love the amount of storage this table has and how I can keep all my things organized in one place, I also love how there is a drawer that can be locked to keep the most important things out of reach. Really love this table.
