    • Elementi Firepit Worked Well...for a few days.
I ordered the Elementi Manhattan Firepit through Amazon in January 2021. The order was fulfilled through AMS Fireplace and I received it close to two weeks later . The firepit was delivered to my garage, in front of my house, despite me filling out the option to have it delivered to the back of the house (porch area). After moving the firepit to the backyard, I set it up and made sure everything looked go to go. I had a LPG tank ready to go, recently topped off, ready to use and it worked fine. The ignitor has not worked since we got it, but I looked past that and just used a fireplace lighter. For the next few days, it was a great addition to our back porch...After 3-4 days, it started to shut off automatically after 45 mins, then 30 mins, then 10 mins...until it would not stay on after lighting. The only way to keep it on was to keep the gas knob pushed in to allow the propane to flow freely. The propane flows freely and is quite noticeably present, but I changed out the tank anyways, thinking there might be an issue, but the same thing happened with that tank. For the record, both tanks work fine with my grill. I can also keep the firepit going...IF I KEEP THE KNOB PUSHED IN WITH MY HAND. I contacted AMS Fireplace after a few weeks and talked with someone there. They told me to send them a video of it not working at a cell phone number they'd pass on to me. They didn't send me a text. I filled out a form on Amazon, which was supposed to reach AMS, but didn't hear back. I tried a few more times, then contacted Amazon about a return... It turns out I cannot return the item. I tried to contact AMS again, this time talking to a nice lady named Nicky, sent her a video of the issue, and she told me she'd show her technician. They asked me for my address, which I provided, and stated there might be an issue with the panel, or a hose, and they'd send me a kit to fix it. This was in late March. We're going on late April now and no kit in the mail. I received another msg from AMS, stating that they have a 30 day return policy, and I could not return the item even though I contacted them less than 30 days after I received it. I am not pleased with how this has worked out so far and will continue with attempts to either get a refund, or have this fixed. It is perfect size, stone beautiful! Area around square fire pit can hold all drinks and snacks without being too close to fire! Well made! Highly recommend. Mine directly connected to house gas linešŸ‘

We absolutely love the look of this firepit. It's very sleek and a great addition to our outdoor living space. I do wish the propane tank could have been enclosed; but we found these big planters, flipped out upside down and vĆ³ila, it was hidden. I also put a hole in our carpet and ran the gas hose underneath to prevent trips and falls. We replaced the provided lava rocks with clear glass. Looks amazing!! Cons: The price is a bit steep as the firepit isn't solid. It's got some weight to it, but you can flip it on its side and see it's hollow. ... show more
