The assembly instructions are not very specific, but if you follow them carefully this nightstand is easy to put together. I own several pieces and they are always so easy to assemble, very sturdy, and coated so they don’t stain or bubble when wet unlike other mdf furniture. Overall I would say this is a good nightstand for the price! The one downside is that the backboard was damaged on its finish, but I was able to assemble it where it was covered by the droor. I’m definitely buying another one for the other side of the bed! For the price of this, I was expecting a much better item. Delivery was fine but, that's where it ended. The pieces/panels of the dresser are not labeled well, making assembly easy to botch. Which I might have and still don't know. The instructions are very detailed when it comes to which screws to use but, that's all. Dislikes: 1. Easily scratched panel backing - really. sooo...easy. incredibly delicate for an item that you need to hammer nails through. 2. Thin dowels used in this connection style. I've dealt with dowels before - these are incredibly flimsy. and snap easily. (which I did 3x) in different areas. Even after taking great care to be gentle. There is now a side that I've had to glue together. 3. Cam-locks don't fit properly into each other, or into the pre-drilled hole they are supposed to go into. Either the screw was blocked by "wood" or the cam wouldn't go all the way in the hole in several different places. 4. Shelves, sides are not labeled well. It's really hard to tell which way should be the front, and which the back when dealing with those. 5. Even when I got each component fit properly and as snug as I could; there are visible gaps between joints. 6. the sliding mechanism of the drawer is rough - which is really not good because as I said - this thing is fragile! This may look great in photos, and there are even customer photos where people seemed to like the item but, I would not recommend and am at a loss on what to do with a now essentially unusable side-table. I have built furniture from several places before and never seen this much failure in one item. Honestly - I've built an ikea dresser, tv stand, and bookshelf that were better quality and turned out better for a fraction of the price. This came with pieces broken on the edges - aka the particleboard was showing instead of the gleaming white. Not sure how to fix that unfortunately, so maybe I will just paint over the flaws. There are several and they came that way straight out of the package. In hindsight, I should have reached out to the customer care team immediately but I didn't want to take out my frustration on their customer care. Not their fault that the shipping team did not perform a QA check before packing. The legs are a nightmare to install - patience is required. The unit rocks even though the legs are all on tight and facing the correct direction. Drives me crazy. The top of the drawer (the white shelf) does not reach the back wall, even though the front is flush with the sides. Not sure if this is intentional, but I don't get it. The drawer face is not wide enough and so there is space between its edges and the walls of the entire unit. It also wiggles on the track and I am unable to tighten! Overall, this piece LOOKS nice from a distance, but definitely needs durability and quality assurance checks. Disappointing. ... show more

I should have listened to the other reviews. This nightstand looks cheap, feels cheap, and arrived damaged. Despite the packaging showing no signs of damage, several exterior facing panels arrived with visible chips. I went with the black finish, so the chips are particularly noticeable. The panels are disappointingly thin giving away the build quality from across the room. Adding to this, the factory installed drawer slides were either misaligned or bent -- the drawer does not easily close and requires some finesse to fully shut. The manufacturer's pictures suggest polished chrome hardware for the drawer front, but the drawer knob is actually plastic. Adding insult to injury, it stripped during install. At $80 I wasn't expecting much. Normally I'd say you get what you pay for, but the product isn't even worth a quarter of that. At this price point you're better off getting something from Ikea. ... show more

On arrival there was a large chip in the table front. I contacted the company directly and had a replacement of the part within 3 days.
