The Manfrotto PIXI is the perfect mini tripod for Compact System Cameras (CSC). It has been designed to satisfy the needs of those consumers that are looking for a support that is lightweight, portable and easy to use. The PIXI is great for achieving hard to get video shots while keeping your camera steady. Close the legs to use it as a comfortable grip to capture great videos that stand out from the crowd. The new push-button mechanism enables you to position and lock the ball head in one rapid, intuitive movement. Pushing the button releases the ball joint to move freely. When the button is released, the ball is locked automatically in the selected position. PIXI has a minimal Italian style and is manufactured from stainless steel and Adaptor for high quality and a tactile finish. With this solid construction. DSLR Compatibility Thanks to the universal 1/4" screw thread and the excellent stability, PIXI can be used with a huge variety of digital devices; the iPhone (with KLYP), compact cameras, CSC's and even entry level DSLR's. I bought this tripod mainly for my Go Pro Hero 11 Black. But I do want to point out that you need an adapter to be able to mount the action camera to this tripod. The style that I purchased was “PIXI Mini Made in Italy,” which I think is the newer model. I’d say I am satisfied with this product. It is built strong and feels durable when you hold it. The legs are wide enough to support an entry-level DSLR camera and keep it standing securely, but also not wide enough to take up space. The underpinning of the legs is also partially rubberized which further helps with stability. However, if you mount a stick or monopod between the tripod and a camera, it will only be able to support a small and lightweight camera, like a point-and-shoot or an action camera. I like that it is heavy for its small size which speaks to its sturdiness and stability. I can use it as a handle too for filming. Additionally, I like the ball head mount type. I prefer this over pan and tilt for a tripod or stick as it allows a faster way to adjust the orientation of the camera while also giving you more flexibility to level against uneven surfaces. On this note, the feature that stands out to me the most is the way the ball head is controlled or adjusted. You basically press and hold the red button as you adjust the ball head and then release the red button to lock the ball head. Honestly, I like this approach better than a screw. I have easier, safer, and better control with this technique. Best of all, this tripod is travel-friendly and fits comfortably on a camera backpack. This was my first tripod purchase! I purchased this mini Pixi Tripod & was super impressed with the quality & durability of it!! So easy to use!! I connected my Canon EOS RP to it & it held up so nicely! ! I bought a phone Mount [amazon purchase] & that was a durable combo! I purchased the EVO MINI tripod to compare it to this Mini Pixi & returned the EVO cuz it didn’t feel as sturdy even though you can adjust the height of the legs. I prefer this mini Pixi and so happy with it! Excited to take them on my travels! I also purchased the larger Manfrotto tripod & that one is great too! Such exciting accessories! :) ... show more

even though i would consider this as a simple cell phone stand, i would still recommend it because of its quality. this is not as versitle as the mini tripods that bend to attach to certain objects, but this is built pretty tough and reliable. i first got this in 2016 and i lost it after a few years. when i went shopping for a new one, i ended up getting the same one because of the styles i did not like. i admit that i feel like vablue for the price does not match because this is pretty standard. there is a price cut as of this review but i got this at $35 and that is getting close to regular tripmods up to 50". the included clamp for the phone is pretty good, i havent had signs of tear yet. the adjustability is decent. the button in the middle allows you to tilt the angle, it is not to compare with a regular tripod but with a little tweaking, you can get the angle you want. i would recommend this to those who do not mind the price. i don't think i would get this again if i lost it, but it is defintely still up there in quality and design. 5/5 ... show more

The tripod works great easy to use, light weight. It holds my Sony A77 with a Tamron 28-75 even with the legs extended. The only downside is, because of where the vertical slot is located on the built-in ball head it won't hold the weight of the A77 vertical without tipping over.
