  • Worth the little extra cost. Super convenient and sturdy.
Color: Black Style: PIXI Mini Made in Italy
Ball-head works great. Love the one-button design. Very intuitive and easy to use without even looking at it. Note though that because the ball-head has a very simple locking mechanism, it won’t support a ton of weight. I was able to get a *big* DSLR camera to stay without slipping, but I couldn’t really move the tripod at all when doing so. I don’t see that as a problem, it’s just a trade-off of having a super convenient adjusting mechanism. Most people will use this for phones, action cameras, and smaller devices. It’s perfect for that. When used as a handle, it feels really nice in the hand. The composite material feels very strong and inspires confidence. This is my second Manfrotto purchase and I really like their products. ... show more

  • Excellent Sturdy Portable Countertop Tripod
Color: Manfrotto Black Style: Pixi Mini
Let me start but mentioning that there is another newer version of this tripod called the Pixi Mini Evo that cost twice as much but offers a lot of other features. The Pixi Mini Evo is a bit larger, has a twist screw compression for the ball head, a cut out for the camera to do portrait mode or face completely up or down, extending legs that also fold out flatter for far more versatility and standing options. This tripod, has a spring loaded button compression for the ball head, is much smaller than the Pixi Mini Evo, the legs do no extend and only fold out to one position, and to connect this to your camera you have to twist the tripod on. Although this tripod doesn't offer as much as the Pixi Mini Evo, it does offer fantastic portability, simplicity, and rock solid functionality. I have been on the fence on whether or not to buy this tripod until I saw one in an Apple Store and got to try it out a bit. The ball head adjustment button was surprisingly easy and sturdier than you could imagine it would be. It feels light weight but solid at the same time and it is just easy to carry around. I'm using this with a Sony A6300 and have used the PZ Sony G 18-105, Sony Zeiss 24, and the Canon 85 1.8 with the MC-11 lenses. I have to say I doubted the 2.2lb estimate and didn't think it would keep the A6300 sturdy with the reasonably large and heavy 18-105 but it did with flying colors. Once I release the button, the camera stops moving and is perfectly steady. It is really amazing how such a simple system can be so reliably sturdy. Of course using it with the other much lighter lenses works just fine as well and when I have my camera on the tripod I don't worry about it falling over as the legs are sturdy enough to keep it from tilting over. It also apparently works as a short seflie stick but that wasn't really my intent with it. I don't use camera grips and I didn't buy the A6300 for a selfie camera but it is nice that it can be used in this way. You can buy the Pixi Mini Evo for around $50 and I'm sure it is great, but I got this because I want something small that I can carry around effortlessly that works quickly and simply. Manfrotto didn't cut corners on this and it shows in quality materials and intelligent design elements. It is easy to carry in your bag or even your pocket and it is even easier to use when you need it. At $25 this tripod is easy to recommend and I will update my review should I find any more positives or faults with this. Also, I wanted to note that although I did test this tripod with the A6300 and 18-105, the pictures I posted are with the Zeiss 24 1.8. ... show more

  • Durable
Color: Manfrotto Black Style: Pixi Mini
Bought it over a year ago and still going strong! Lightweight but has weight to it where it’s sturdy. Metal instead of plastic which is probably why it’s lasted so long. Sometimes it does slip when I attach my phone, light and microphone but I don’t imagine it was made for that as much as just for a camera but it still works great otherwise. Good value, able to attach anything you need, just overall good quality and always come back to this brand when looking for something ... show more

  • Stashable stability for compact cameras
Color: Black Style: PIXI Mini Made in Italy
I use this with a couple of cell phone mounts. It's great for keeping in your glove box and whipping out to get a better shot on your cell phone or point and shoot camera. It's also good for using as a more stable one handed grip. It is not particularly useful with my DSLRs, longer glass will tip it right over. ... show more

  • If It Ain't Broke, Don't Fix It!
Color: Black Style: PIXI Mini Made in Italy
It's a straightforward, miniature tripod. It's not trying to be or do more than prop up your camera or phone and hold them steady. Simple, honest, and well-made product. Like a slice of an authentic Italian pizza 😘😋😅 Pros 👍👍👍 - This thing oozes quality! It looks sharp and feels solid. - Lightweight: 7.4 oz. - Lockable Ball Joint allowing for tilt adjustment. More on this later! - No Adaptors, No Proprietary BS: It uses standard 1/4" 20-thread screw head. - Design: simplicity meets elegance! It's a joy to look at 🤩 - Rubberized Feet: They protect your tripod and keep it steady. Cons 👎👎👎 - It's too short! It doesn't even clear my 13" laptop, but it's a mini, so I should've read the specs better! - No thumb screw! This is my biggest gripe with this little guy! - Once you press the red button to adjust tilt, there's no way to bring it back to level! ⚠️⚠️The easiest way to mitigate that is once you've unboxed yours, get a sharpie to outline the circle where it's level so you can reset back to it 🤓 My Final Thoughts 🧐 1️⃣ If you're looking for a simple, functional, and reliable mini tripod, look no further! This is it! 2️⃣ However, if you can invest a little more, I'd go with the Manfrotto PIXI EVO. It's just as compact but has extendable legs and comes with a thumb screw! So, it addresses the two issues I have with this model, albeit at a higher price point. 3️⃣ And for the ultimate in portability, check out the Insta360 2-in-1 Tripod I reviewed recently. I hope my short review has helped you make a more informed buying decision 👍😊✌️ ... show more

  • Compact and sturdy. Great for vlogging
Color: Black Style: PIXI Mini Made in Italy
Use this during my Japan trip and man was it great! A lot of people complimented on it and saying they liked how compact it was and how easy it is to hold it up. While holding it up, it doesn't feel like I'm doing an arm workout while trying to vlog. You can basically adjust the height and angle of the camera by either adjusting the legs (like super extended/flat or more upright) or clicking the small button to adjust the angle of the camera. Would recommend my other friends to get this if they want to try recording. ... show more
