Great compact humidifier to get my 90% humidity level down to normal level in a couple hours. After use, I have very clear indication of water being filled up within the tank and the room feeling normal and not super humid. Running the dehumidifier does not produce a lot of noise and you can barely hear it once you are out of the room. Within the room, it will sound like a normal fan running which is nice.     • Disappointing, not really a 4500 s.f. unit

I have a 2500 s.f. basement. I had a GE dehumidifier described as 35 pt. Dehumidifier for Basement up to 3000 sq. ft. The GE unit kept the humidity at 55% according to its display panel. But the GE unit did not have continuous unattended draining (I had to empty the bucket twice a day), so for half the price of the GE unit, I got this Manastin unit described as "5000 Sq.Ft Dehumidifier for Basement with Drain Hose, 52 Pint". The drain hose works fine, but after 72 hours of continuous operation, the humidity fluctuates between 62-63%. This Manastin was inexpensive and quiet and may use less power (hard to say), but it can't handle my basement when placed in the same location as the previous GE unit. Most other reviews I have seen on this Manastin unit report that it creates a lot of water, and I'm sure it does, but the other reviews usually do not report actual humidity levels. Maybe you think that 55% is too low, but it's what I want for my basement and Manastin can't handle it when other units can. It was cheap, but I got what I paid for. ... show more

When you live at South, outside is about 90 degrees, you need dehumidifier. This one once plugged in, it shows the humidity of the room right away. It is very easy to use. It comes with a hose so you can either drain the water or empty out with it's container. The dehumidifier is heavy than looks, It has handle and wheels make move easily. Pretty quiet . You can sits on low or high, this is on low took about 16 hours to fill the container, take less than 12 hours to fill up when it’s sits on high. Working very good. ... show more
