I wish I could give 0. Not even 2 month that I bought this laptop and the screen is black. It wont show anything on the screen. Waste of money. In gonna have to bring it to get it fixed and spend more money on this crappy laptop!

The media could not be loaded. The Mallrace laptop is a competent machine that provides a great experience out of the box. You can feel from the moment you take it out that it is solidly made and it's quite dense and at its present asking price (about 500) on Amazon, it's quite the value. To make it easier to break it down, I'll share my likes and dislikes of this PC. Likes: + It's out of the box fast. Super fast boot time, extremely competent at basic computer tasks, but also works well with video editing, and music editing. + No bloat! Really. There is no bloat on the preloaded Windows 11, no extra apps, no typical advertising, or unnecessary junk, this is one of the cleanest Windows 11 installations ever. There is no junk to remove out of the box. + Backlit keyboard + Very stable, have used for hours for both gaming and other tasks and the thermal management is good and fairly quiet even under load + Plays most 1080P content well, the internal screen is 1080P, but even while HDMI connected to a monitor, 1080P is fairly consistent + Battery lasts hours even under gaming. I have got about 3 hours and 28 minutes on Final Fantasy VII Remake and the battery was at 10% when I quit when I started at 100% charge + Lots of ports. 2 USB-C one for charging, USB(A) 3.0, 1 USB(A) 2.0, HDMI (full size), 3.5mm audio jack, Micro SD slot Areas that could be better: - It's stereo, but the speakers are not the best and a bit tinny. They also don't get very loud - While the screen is 1080P, and looks nice, it's slightly washed out with some content - Framerate is overall smooth, but with some more demanding games it can occasionally get jumpy even at 1080P - The camera is ok, but isn't the most clear, and not for low light ... show more

    • Sketchy situation after buying and putting info in
Laptop just arrived and I have it setup. A few things. This is essentially a "no name brand" laptop from China. For the price I suppose I wasn't sure what to expect. So far, it seems to do what it is supposed to do, however there a few drawbacks. The keyboard does feel a bit cheap. Keys feel "off" they feel like they are loose. They work and aren't vibrating or anything, just feel cheap. The speakers are not great. I will most likely add external speakers to it. I am using this to replace an old google chromebook that sounded much better that this particular laptop. Not sure how they advertise that the regular retail of this is over $1200. There's no way I would spend that much for this machine. At that price one can get a much higher, and mush better equipped machine. For what this is going to be used for it will serve its purpose but get it on a massive sale like I did on memorial day at %71 off. update: 3 days after getting the laptop, i got a text message with a 6 digit number. the text was in Chinese. Running it through Google Translate says it is a temporary login code. Not saying it is related to this laptop, but the timing couldn't be any more concerning. I would be interested to know if others have had the same experience ... show more
