Oh my goodness! I cannot say enough how this product is simply amazing! The very 1st use, I immediately felt the difference. As soon as I applied the product, I could feel the build-up being stripped from my hair. I highlight my hair, and it didn't impact my color in any negative way whatsoever! I left my hair clean & soft. It wasn't a 'fly away' soft, it was a 'healthy' soft, where the hair is still manageable. This product saved my hair! I am writing this for anyone who might be struggling with their hair as I have. For over 9 years I have been dealing with extremely frizzy, crunchy, dry damaged looking hair that is almost like Velcro sticking to itself at the ends. Feeling grippy and squeaky if I run my fingers along the hair shafts and unable to absorb any “moisture” no matter what conditioners I have used and hair oil seems to vanish into the hair shafts leaving my hair just as dry and crunchy as before. I feel like I have tried everything under the sun and generally take very good care of my hair with gentle detangling, no heat styling and even wearing a silk night cap. And yet for years my Hair still appeared horribly damaged with an awful unmanageable texture (my hair is fine and wavy/ loose curls). The ends were breaking off and I would trim them with brand new sharp scissors at home but I just couldn’t grow my hair. After using this line with the hard water treatment, double shampooing and using the conditioner just as it recommends my hair is FINALLY turning a corner. For the first time in many many years my hair seems to reflect some light and has some shine to it. It feels silky and moisturized. I will disclose that on top of using this line I have started washing my hair with bottled distilled water to prevent the same damage my hair has suffered from. I know there are some reviews on here saying that this has left their hair feeling matted or dry. I can only speak for what my experience has been and I wonder if this product really only helps people who are actually dealing with hard water build up. If your hair journey sounds similar to mine then I recommend you try this product 10/10!

I have a short pixie style haircut that is light white with brassy tones in bangs. I use flat iron on low but use heat protectants. City water that is filtered in our home. Well known in our small town that we have horrible drinking water and most filter it. Pros: Made hair very soft Gave my hair body Some shine Easy to use Cons: Did not remove brassy color/no color change Seems you have better luck leaving on 10 min versus 5 in directions This might take several treatments??? I ordered 2 packets so will wait a week and try again for 10 minutes as those with favorable results used it that long. But for the body, shine and softness~I give it 4 stars and will buy again. I do feel it left my hair in better condition

I have incredibly hard water and before I realized the problem, ended up chopping inches off my hair because I thought I was doing something wrong. I was recommended one of these packets and it SAVED my hair. I use one once a month and it keeps my hair hard water build up free. I also use Kenra clarifying shampoo once a week but this is my holy grail. I also use a packet on each of my kids. I have long brown hair and I can make one packet work although I do think I'll need to use two soon. However many I don't really care because this is worth it.

Holy Toledo this really works! Background: I am a brunette who went through several blonding sessions for over a year. Sadly, my hair was damaged from bleach. I recenty went back to my natural hair color and had my colorist transition me back to BLACK hair, thinking my damage issue would magically resolve itself as it had done so in the past. WRONG. If you have demi-permanant dye in your hair or toner, and did not use this product right before your salon visit, do not use this product until right before you go back to the salon. On the other hand, if you want to strip your color, do use this product. I went to the salon 8 days prior to using this. I did my research first. I'm actually a bit obsessive about researching so it prolongs purchasing things. I've wanted to use a clarifier for a while, since I learned about them, because I have very hard well water. This one was the winner for me. My hair is primarily bleached, with root growth of about 5 months that I get highlighted regularly to blend. Then it gets toned to different shades, depending on what I'm going for. This product, on one hand is amazing. My hair has never felt so clean. My natural hair that has grown in since fully bleaching my hair was shiny, smooth, and beautiful. What I wasn't expecting was for the rest of my hair to be completely stripped back to the bleach only. It went from a creamy chocolate (stunning blonde; I highly recommend trying that color toner) to a super light, summer blonde. After reaching out to malibu c on their Facebook page, they informed me that if I didn't use this treatment on my hair prior to getting it done, the color would sit on the mineral buildup and therefore come off with it. I greatly appreciate their feedback and learning this. I asked if they would consider putting this information in their directions or product description. They did not respond. So, while I don't leave long reviews typically, I'd like others who research products to be able to take into consideration there is a time to use Malibu C hardwater treatment, and it is not after going to the salon and paying for the hair you want, it is before. I will continue to use this product because it is amazing, albeit at the right time. I gave it 3 stars for the misleading information which caused me to wash $$$ down the drain but the treatment itself is 5 stars.

Found this while doing an online search to help combat hard water in my town. I use this just once a week and it's great at getting rid of the build up of minerals in my hair. My hair has gone from rough, dull, feeling full of knots no matter how much I brush, to smooth and full of life again.
