This is a good mannequin head for practicing haircuts. The hair itself seems to be good quality, and I haven't noticed any shedding. However there are places where hair has been attached to the head on both ends, creating loops and tangles that have to be cut in order to comb through the hair. The hair color isn't uniform. There are some gray and black strands mixed in. Beyond that, it cuts and styles really well so it's an ideal mannequin head for that. This head also comes with a stand and two styling clips.

Until now I had been practicing only on textured hair and female hair mannequins. I'm currently learning how to do more with men's hair and this male mannequin head is really nice to worth with. The hair is thick, there are lips and ears so you can cut and style almost like you were styling a real head of hair and beard. With real hair you can perm, color, style, cut etc. and this mannequin head has a realistic scalp - especially at the lip line. The face is realistic enough if you also want to practice makeup - the eyebrows are painted on and there are no lashes, I'm planning to experiment with applying false lashes on this one. A lot of men will come in with hair that needs to be trimmed around the neck and most mannequins, such as this one, do not have that hair - this is more focused at learning how to trim around the face, sideburns, and cut/ style a full head of hair. The color on this mannequin is easy to highlight and color as it is already on the lighter side - it's going to teach me how to deal with brassiness while doing highlights. The clamp is easy to assemble and it has protective pads so you don't scratch up your workstation surface. There are two alligator clips included. The head can be fully articulated and the clamp can be tightened to stay in place. Overall this is a good quality male mannequin head that most stylists will enjoy working on.

Pleasantly surprised at how well the hair is attached to the head, and how realistic the hair density is. I wish they had more hair textures to choose from but this should help!

This training head is of a man who looks like he's been stuck on an island alone for a long time. The hair, mustache and beard are very long. This is definitely a man to makeover. It comes with a table clamp, but if you have a higher table clamp, it makes it easier to cut and style the hair. The hair can also be dyed, which makes the styling head that much more versatile. The texture of the hair is nice. This styling head falls short for me in that there are some thinner spost on the scalp and some of the hair was attached to the head on both ends. These 2 things can definitely be worked around, however, this is actually not something I've had on other heads I've had. For that reason, I rated it 2 stars, below average. If the thinner spots weren't there and the hair was uniformly and evenly attached I would've given it 3 stars. Also, if the price was closer to $20 instead of $27, it would get another star, so 4.

This is a well-made head, sturdy. The hair is good quality, manageable and soft. The hair is long where the sideburns are located. The hair is well placed on the scalp, no big gaps. Since it's real hair it can be dyed and permed. Comes with accessories and standard clamp stand.
