Had to further drill one hole to fix defective connector hole. That fixed that part. Filled inside with rice an marbles to make it sufficiently heavy. After first few days of waist pain and bruises from the hardness, wife able to use daily with no problem. Lost over an inch in waist so far, so she's happy.

Rice isn’t heavy enough to get this hula hoop to an easy/beginner weight setting. Make sure to plan ahead to find something heavier to weight your hoop down with.
