Love these dishes. They are shaped very different. I’ve been looking to get back to white dishes and these have a very light grey with the white. I ordered two sets for a service for 12. The only negative, and really not a negative, is that the large bowls take up more room in the dishwasher.

We were looking for square plates but wanted something more stylish than our old, inexpensive stoneware set. We’ve received compliments on these from everyone who has seen them. Although they are essentially square, the wave on two sides gives them a more elegant look. The subtle ridges on the wavy sides are a nice detail without making them too busy. The two straight sides on the plates curve subtly upward, so food stays on the plate. The larger bowls are quite shallow. I think they’re ideal for salad; soup cools in them rather quickly due to the ratio of surface area to depth, which isn’t a problem if you aren’t lingering over your meal. I think the small bowls are actually better for soup, even if you need to refill them. The so-called salad plates are perfect for a sandwich or dessert more than for salad. But that’s just an issue of nomenclature. The set does not include cups and saucers, but to my mind that’s a plus. Who do you know who still serves coffee in cups with saucers? Every time I’ve had them, I’ve ended up wishing I could use the cabinet space for something else. The set is a lovely and consistent creamy white. In terms of weight, the pieces are light, but they seem durable enough. I doubt they’d survive being dropped (we haven’t dropped one yet), but I’ve accidentally hit them fairly hard against the side of a stainless steel sink without incident, and they come through the dishwasher unscathed. All in all, we’re thrilled with them. I didn’t know the company before I ordered them, but based on these dishes, it’s as good as or better than the best in its price-range. ... show more

I have had this set for about two years. The only thing that we did not like was using the square coffee mugs. I ended up purchasing the round ones to also have to use with the set for drinking coffee. These still look brand new and are beautiful. They do not stack perfectly together, but that does not bother me. It may bother some people. ... show more

I have used these for several weeks now, I absolutely love them. They are beautiful! They do great in the microwave and dishwasher. As most dishes they have clinked against the side of counters and against other dishes but they have yet to chip or break. They may not look like it, but they are durable. I LOVE the appearance of this set! They are super stylish and unique. The warning: If having a set without defects is important to you, thoroughly inspect your set upon arrival. I had 2 plates arrive chipped and one of those plates has a blue mark that won't come off. The seller told me I needed to wash the plates with soap before using, and the blue mark will come off. I found that amusing. Lol They partially reimbursed me $18 for the plates. I was hoping for the 2 pieces to be replaced, but the seller noted that wasn't an option. Hindsight, I should have just returned the set and tried ordering another one in hopes it wasn't damaged. In response to other reviews, the bowls are small, but the salad plates make great bowls. I felt that made up for it. I feel the lips on the plates are adequate. After reading several reviews about dishes breaking in the microwave, we've opted not to microwave ours (especially given the lack of replacement pieces). I will say, that I've never seen a plate say it is microwavable to a certain temp. I'm also a little terrified that I'm going to break off a corner, given the design. Almost 2 weeks in, and nothing else has received damage. I'm still very happy with my purchase, I just worry about how long they'll hold up. ... show more
