Description

The Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion 5-Piece Combo Kit (model XT505) gives you four efficient cordless tools for drilling, driving fastening and cutting, with a cordless flashlight to light your work area when you need it. You also get the category’s fastest-charging 3.0Ah batteries and the expansive breadth-of-line of the Makita 18V LXT battery platform, so your batteries will power the expanding range of Makita tools and accessories. The XT505 includes a variable speed ½” hammer driver-drill with two speed settings, and a variable speed impact driver with a full 1,460 inch-pounds of Max Torque. The Recipro saw features a refined crank mechanism for faster cutting and demolition applications, and the 6-1/2” Circular Saw has 3,700 RPM for faster cutting and ripping through wood. The 4-position flashlight with Xenon bulb is a bright and portable light source for improved visibility in dark conditions.

Probably the best purchase I’ve made on Amazon. Got these like 2 years ago. Waited for price to go down and nabbed it. I use the heck out of these tools. My buddy had some older impacts and I loved them. So decided to get my own. Plus a couple extra tools. Very happy with all parts of this kit. Batteries recharge quick and last a long time with drill and impact. The recip and circ saws suck a little more juice but that’s to be expected. One on the charger and one on the tool and you’ll be alright. Not a bad idea to grab some extra batteries tho. If you can swing the ridiculous price of their batteries. I do like the 18V platform and it delivers plenty of power. Not disappointed in the least. I recently grabbed the weed whacker too that goes with this platform. Also good. Man, excellent products, I am really impressed with the newer Makita cordless products, even the charger has a built in fan, all batteries have level indicators, and drills have lights, and hammer, drill, or screw settings, really cool, not quite as powerful as my craftsman 19.2V but, just a fraction less so, the hammer function is not as strong as my dedicated Craftsmen hammer drills, but enough for smaller projects. Circular saw works like a champ, and everything is extremely light, my wife loves to use them, yet the quality is superb, I got it on a lightning deal and could not be happier, I have many corded and battery operated products, but this kit, mostly the drill is what I have been using for most of my home improvement projects. I bought the radio to go along with it, but was disappointed that it does not charge the batteries with DC cord plugged in, ... show more

To get all these tools, batteries, and charger in one package is very economical. And the tools are all excellent and exceeded my expectations. Truthfully I just needed more batteries and another charger, but knowing that combo kits are the better way vs. buying tools and batteries one at a time, I went for this kit. I am not sorry in the least. Never expected a cordless circular saw to be so useful. Never expected I'd like the cordless reciprocating saw nearly as much as my corded one. These tools have the power, and I am getting spoiled not pulling out my extension cords as often! The huge tool bag is nice too, durable and useful, but kind of a bottomless pit because it is not an organizer, just a big bag. I got it to use at work. I like that these tools can take the abuse I put them through. I put some casters o the bottom of the bag and reinforced the bottom at the same time with some thick aluminum I cut out of an old road sign. Added some 1" conduit rails on both sides for pulling the weight up stairs, and added a pull loop in front that I can clip on any chain or rope to and now it's a 5 star package. I gave em 4 Stars so they'd have room to grow. If my features we're already in the bag I would've scored it 5 stars. ... show more
